"I'm her babysitter," Namjoon said quickly, not wanting to cause a fight. "I was told to drop her off here since she has a doctor's appointment."
"Momo never told me about it," Jimin replied, a little attitude in his voice.
Namjoon didn't know how to respond to that. He only bit his lips into a thin line as he stared at Emma's brown hair. He guessed that this 'Momo' was Emma's mom, and apparently Jimin's girlfriend.
Jimin went to say something else, but thankfully the elevator door opened, a ding ringing out. Namjoon waited for Jimin to hurry on out, but the male only peered at Namjoon. "After you," he remarked, motioning to the area outside the elevator. It was a lot quieter than the lobby below. Emma shuffled out, Namjoon following close behind. Jimin filed in behind him and started walking down one of the hallways branching off to the side of the receptionist's desk. "Her office is this way."
Namjoon turned away from the lady at the desk who was about to answer any question he could think of. He sighed before starting off towards the direction Jimin was heading off in, Emma to the right of him, holding his hand. Her lips were sealed shut as she tried to keep up with her sitter.
After a minute or two of following Jimin, they finally reached a door that wasn't labeled, but had a nameplate out to the side that read "Hatsumomo Arai." Namjoon could hear familiar voices behind the door, but he couldn't exactly make out what they were saying.
Jimin pushed the door open, and the voices stopped. "Hey, baby," Jimin cooed. "I think you have a guest."
Emma gasped. "Hobi!" she ran over and hugged Namjoon's friend's legs, before looking up somewhere Namjoon couldn't see since it seemed like Jimin wouldn't let him in. "Mommy."
Namjoon took note of the way she called her mom and how she called for Hoseok first.
