How are you guys?! Hope your day has been swell so far
"So here's the tea," Kassidy began.
You laughed and buried your face in your hands.
"Blond man Sam and I saw all that stuff online that people were saying out of their butts, but halfway into me typing things back like the god I am, dumb blond man stopped me."
You gave her a look that told her to go on.
"He said that it wouldn't make anything better, so I didn't say anything because he didn't want me to. But he couldn't stop me from driving and almost hitting him to let me go see you to break those baked tampons in half."
Smiling at her kind gesture, you let a tiny smirk grace your lips. "So you obey Sam now, huh?"
"Hey," she defended herself, "blond guy will take away my coffee if I do anything bad."
"Uhuh."
"And he took away my coffee privileges because I almost ran him over for you so you better be grateful or I'm running you over instead."
Sighing, you spoke monotonously. "Thanks, Kass."
Kassidy flipped her brown locks, bathing in the praise.
"And then, to avoid the punishment, you fled here without any of your possessions at all."
"Exactly! All of that college must have payed off."
Massaging your temples, you threw her some pajamas. "You can wear these tonight and sleep here. I'm not going to abandon you."
"Yes, you're the best, [y/n]."
"I would ask Brendon if it's okay, but I know he'll say yes."
Kassidy waved me off. "He'll deal."
You smiled. It had been a while since you'd seen her, and you had to admit that you really, really missed her. Looking back over at her, you yelped a bit, realizing she wasn't wearing a shirt.
"What? I wanted to change into this soft ass shit."
"Oh, okay," you tried to keep yourself busy, avoiding the uncomfortable situation, "I just wasn't expecting it."
"I know I have a hot bod."
You didn't respond and instead walked over to close the door. Not only did she start getting undressed without saying anything about it, she also did so while the door was wide open.
However, while Kassidy was changing into the pajama shorts, a knock on the door rang out through the room.
"It's Brendon," you pointed out the obvious. "Get dressed."
"Why? He'd appreciate this hot bod."
You face palmed and repeated yourself. "Get dressed."
"Fine, fine," she slipped the pants on. "I guess the only hot bod he will appreciate is yours."
Ignoring that comment, you turned the knob open to your boyfriend who stood holding a baby blue mug, a small waft of steam flowing out of it.
"For Kassidy," he handed the mug to her, whispering a slight "be careful, it's hot."
She raised a brow.
"I heard you were deprived of your coffee."
Your eyes widened as you stared down Brendon. Kassidy cheered in the background, downing the whole thing.
"She's going to be up all night, Bren!"
He shook his head. "You seem to forget that a single cup of coffee doesn't affect her."
"Heck yes, Sam and his crusty ass can't stop me."
Despite the insult, but Brendon and you knew what was up.
"I'm calling it Kam."
"No, stupid. It's Samssidy."
"Hm, I like it shorter. Sass, maybe?"
And for the moment, all was well. Your best friend was at your side, your boyfriend was supportive, your bodyguard was very sweet, and no one had harassed you in a while. All that seemed to be left were small little nasty comments here and there.
But anxiety always crept in, and you knew that more than a tweet or a bodyguard was going to be needed to put you at ease.
You knew that to stop the whole ordeal, you had to do something personally, not just Brendon.
Sorry it's short, I've been sorta kinda overwhelmed recently.
