Creepy Narrator’s POV

Los Angeles...a place that received thousands of names and titles for its beauty and atmosphere . The city of angels... the city where stars are made ...the city of opportunities and for some, a city where tons of random yet fated things happen...

This is a story of a nerdy girl who by everyone’s standards, doesn’t even look close to being an angel, is not even 1% famous, completely misses all of the opportunities presented to her...and yet, ends up in the bustling city far away from home. Why would the universe bring her here? I know why...but find out for yourself...

FLASHBACK

"Christina! I just thought of something extremely cool to do!" A brown haired girl, around the age of 16 perked up excitedly after barging in her friend’s room.

"Ack! Lauren! You made me mess up my game!" The girl in front of the computer screamed as she adjusted her eyeglasses with her middle finger and frantically pressed keyboard commands in time with repeated mouse clicks as she tries desperately to save her career.

"You’re playing Battle Realms AGAIN? Its so early in the morning! Don’t you realize that there’s a perfectly happy sun outside waiting for you?" Lauren cringed as she saw the dark state the room is in.

"Exactly! Its so early in the morning! So what are you doing here?" The petite girl reasoned as she saved her game and wheeled her chair a little closer to her friend, revealing the dishevelled state she’s in.

"Cause! We should make a cover of you singing something and post it on YouTube! Oh and eww you look gross by the way." Lauren laughed and was immediately hit with a pillow on the face.

"I am not and will never do those things. Nope. No way. Never. End of conversation."

"But why?! You have an amazing voice! You’re beautiful minus the glasses and baggy clothes! Don’t be selfish! Share it to the world!" Lauren plopped down on the bed and began to commence her ’make-christina-do-a-cover-to-drastically-improve-her-hermit-lifestyle-cause-she-needs-serious-help’ plan.

Christina on the other hand, knew what her friend was up to and just sighed. She stood up and opened the curtains to let some sunlight into her room.

"Lauren, first of all, i’m 16. Most people don’t pay attention to singers that young cause they’re not developed yet and its a risk. Second, i’m a gamer and a nerd which translates to i don’t do well with the thought of people knowing about me or talking to me. Third, i have a lot of things on my face i mean really can’t you hear all of the things they would call me in school? And lastly, i’ll just be wasting my time. Its risky to even hope to breakout in the music industry today. I’d rather take my chances in college."

Taking a deep breath, Christina simply wiped her glasses with her shirt before placing them on her bedside drawer and walked towards the door.

’"Well there she goes...so much for the plan." Lauren followed her friend with her eyesight. She sighed. She just knew her friend is meant to be someone someday and not just an average office worker with the same boring routine.

"You comming? Cause if you are you better move your lazy butt cause i’m hungry!" Christina shouted as she decended the stairs to reach the kitchen.

"Yeah yeah i’m comming!" Lauren then stood and made her way towards the door. She stopped for a second when she noticed a shine in the corner of her eyes. She turned her head to the right and looked sadly at the keyboard resting on its stands.

"Sorry, Lucas. But you know her. When she walks out, its absolutely the end of the conversation. Hang in there though buddy."

Swiping some dust at the corner of the instrument, Lauren smiled sadly and went out of the room.

/* So yeah...yey! xD first of all i don't really play the games that Christina plays...only racing games so i have no idea if my game choice is a fit for her. and i'm not really that familiar with Lauren so if she seems a bit different here and in other chapters, please don't hate me. ^^"
