Obi's little sister, Ari, was born when he was only 8 years old. Ari was a fast learner and had a love for herbs. When her parents were killed, her brother starts to travel with Ari to help keep them safe. Obi takes assasin jobs one after the other...
That's how we got to the present time. We are currently in Clarines. Ari is almost 12 now, I left the group without a word. Part of my conditions with working with them was that I could come and go as I pleased. Originally Torou didn't agree with my conditions at first but she let it go once she met Ari. Ari was probably like a little sister to her.I felt that maybe Ari shouldn't always be around the world of assassination. I have enough money now for a hotel. We could stay there until I find stable income. But what would I even choose as a job. Hmmm....
I took Ari into town and luckily I still had quite a good amount of money from all the jobs. I got an apartment and told Ari to rest since we've been up since 1 in the morning and it was now past noon.
As I was walking through town, there was a rich looking man walking with a sword. He's probably nobility or something. I ignored him since I am an ex-assassin and all. Then I heard a woman scream, "My purse!! Somebody catch that thief!!" The thief was running but not fast enough to outrun me. I quickly ran up to him and pinned him down. I know, I know, I could've ignored this incident, but Ari would never forgive me if I just walked away. I told the man in my nonchalant tone, " Now sir, even if you think purses are pretty, you shouldn't steal them from a lady. Please hand it over." He tried to get out from under me,but I just pressed down on him more. He grunted and let go of the purse. I let the man go and grabbed the purse "Now that wasn't so hard now was it?" He started to run again but instead of running away, he ran into a guard. "He's all yours!" I said to the guards as I gave a lazy salute. They nodded at me and took the man,probably to a nearby prison.
I went up to the woman who was near the front of the crowd that had gathered and handed her her purse. She thanked me, many times. I told her, "It was nothing ma'am," I scratched my neck and added, " Honestly, if I had told my sister I just did nothing, she would kill me." She laughed and said, " She must be very sweet." She reached into my bag and handed me a leather bracelet and said, " Here then, give this to your sister. It's a gift for the person who influenced a young man to help make the world a better place." The bracelet said 'World Peace'.

I smiled and said, "Thank you ma'am, I'm sure she'll love it!" We said our goodbyes and I started on my way to the place where we were staying, but was stopped by that rich man. Shoot!
I was trying to avoid his attention. He said to me, "Young man.. How would you feel about helping me for a good amount of money? Nothing too serious, just scaring off a person to make them go away. You won't have to actually hurt them." I shot him a look with my eyebrow raised. I was intrigued, "What makes you think I am capable of doing this, and why do you think I would do it for money?" He smirked at me and said, "Well simply because one almost anyone will do anything for money. And two, the way you caught that man showed you were used to being sneaky and light on your feet." "You caught me! Those are parts of my past occupation, I am currently unemployed. However, I wasn't planning to take any jobs at the moment,but if you tell me more details of what I would have to do I will think about it." " You would have to scare off a bright red headed girl to stop her from having a connection with the second Prince of Clarines....This simple job, would pay you as much as three of your so called jobs." Triple an average job!? I wouldn't even have to kill anybody!! I told him I would do it and we shook on it. We told each other our names. Lord Haruka. So I was right he was nobility.
I went upstairs to see Ari awake, studying a book on herbs. "Welcome back!!" she said as she smiled at me. I went up to her and ruffled her hair. "Thanks. Ray, you're gonna be so proud of me I caught a thief from stealing a lady's purse." "Oh my Gosh!! Good job Brobi!! See you can do good things to! Maybe you will be a guard or something instead of an assassin." I chuckled, she gives me too much credit than I deserve. I hope it will surprise her that I plan to stop assassination for good. I said, " I don't know about that, but I told the lady about you and she told me to give you this bracelet to thank you."
" But why thank me? I didn't do anything?"
"She gave it to thank you for being a good influence on me...Here put it on."
She put it on and looked at the words on the bracelet and smiled. I know she wishes that someday there will be world peace. I let her admire it a bit more before I had to tell her the other big thing that happened today. "Ari," I said, she looked up, " I got another job." "Oh... okay how long will you be gone?" "Not long." "Are you going to be okay?" Aww she's worried. "Yeah, don't worry Ray!(I call her Ray since she is my ray of sunshine)I won't have to do anything messy this time." She looked at me with a look that asked 'are you lying to me?'. I put my hands up and asked, "Would I lie to you Ray?" She nonchalantly said, " Yes." "Ouch, you can't trust your big brother!" I whined. She just rolled her eyes and shook her head with a smirk. "Well I promise that there isn't any killing this time." I looked into her eyes to show my sincerity. She looked back then smiled brightly and tackled me into a hug which I happily returned. "That's great Brobi!!!! (GASP) If you aren't doing any killing anyone, can I come with you?!" I thought about it. I mean it would be easier to know she's right next to me. Lord Haruka didn't say I couldn't bring company and Ari could easily follow me. "I guess it shouldn't be a problem. We could check out of the room tomorrow and head to where my employer is." She squealed in delight. Heh seeing her smile always reminds me of mom and dad but it was years ago since they died. "Welp, if we are both going tomorrow, we should sleep now." She nodded excitedly and jumped under the bed covers of her bed.
I smiled as I watched her doze off. As I gazed at her as she slept peacefully. Ari has always been my light in the darkness of my world. I hope that my past simply becomes a shadow and I can change into a better person. Maybe helping protect others will be a good change after the job for Lord Haruka I think I will try to be a guard of sorts. I hope that Ari will support me like she always has. Tomorrow will be a good day I hope that with the changes I want to make it will make my little Ray happy. I know that she won't always be happy, but I know that she will find other people besides me that will make her happy. I hope that day doesn't come to soon, I want to continue to stay her Brobi that will always protect her.
