Obi's little sister, Ari, was born when he was only 8 years old. Ari was a fast learner and had a love for herbs. When her parents were killed, her brother starts to travel with Ari to help keep them safe. Obi takes assasin jobs one after the other...
"Hi my name is Ari, you guys can call me Ray if you want but either one is fine. I'm almost 12 years old. And- I apologize for hitting you in the face Mister Mitsuhide and Miss Kiki for kicking your sword that was out of reflex. I also apologize if I got your names wrong. Lastly, I apologize to miss Shirayuki for frightening her and to Prince Zen for making him worry about miss Shirayuki. I apologize for me and my brother's actions. Sorry for having a long apology too." I finally finished and stood up from my 60 degree bow.
They all stared at me dumbfounded while Obi sweatdropped. They all started to chuckle at my long apology and I blushed as red as Shirayuki's hair. Obi smiled and ruffled my hair and said I was adorable. I rolled my eyes at him, " It's your fault. I mean I had fun but we should be polite, we attacked a friend of Prince Zen and I got mad at an attendant because of you." Kiki looked me in the eye, kind of amused, and said, "No need to apologize, Mitsuhide is an idiot. However, I'm impressed, for a twelve year old your skills are incredible. You were able to stop my sword." I smiled and thanked her for the compliment.
Even though I loved working with herbs, I also enjoyed using my fighting skills. I would've loved to be a bodyguard or something as a second job. Think about it, if someone important got hurt out of nowhere I would also be able to help take care of that person's injuries. However, that career is still my second choice. As an herbalist, I can always be around plants and focus on trying to help a lot more people, instead of focusing on protecting one person. Shoot- Mitsuhide says, " ..that punch hurt!" I panicked I mean what do you expect me to do when I'm being insulted. " Sorry again.." I muttered.
Kiki and Mitsuhide started walking away and Obi and I followed toot sweet. Little did I know that my story was just beginning.
Zen's POV After Lord Haruka left, I 'sent' this Obi guy to Kiki and Mitsuhide. Obi started shouting, "Ray!!Are you coming?" I looked at him with a confused face. Is he mentally disabled or something? He sounds crazy. There isn't anyone named Ray here. Is there someone with him? No, impossible, one of us would've noticed. Maybe he's messing with us. Mitsuhide being the idiot he is made fun of Obi. I suddenly heard what sounded like a growl. I ignored it because I thought I was imagining it. Obi started sweating and told Mitsuhide to apologize. Mitsuhide continued to mock Obi for calling to his "pet". Suddenly a body came down from the trees and punched Mitsuhide in the face. If this was a different situation I might've laughed but I didn't know who this person was. I didn't even notice that they were there. This person shouted at Mitsuhide, the voice was angry and kind of harsh, even if it was kind of high pitched.
Luckily, Kiki stayed level headed and pointed a sword at this person's back, she appeared to be a young girl. I smugly thought that this little girl stood no chance against our best swordsman in the castle. I'm pretty sure I wasn't the only one shocked when the girl kicked Kiki's sword. Both mine and Shirayuki's eyes widened, our jaws both agape at how shocked we were. Kiki looked the most shocked I had ever seen her. Mitsuhide was still trying to recover from his punch to the face. Obi suddenly grabbed the girl by her arm and said, "Ari... You need to calm down he didn't know you were there. He thought I was crazy." All of us but them two looked confused.
Three things: one, how do they know each other and two, wasn't the person he was calling earlier named Ray? Three, did this jokester really get serious?
I eyed this girl suspiciously. "Who are you?" I asked. She smiled and said, "I'm Obi's little sister!" I took a bit to let it register and all at once the others and I shouted, "Eh?!?!?!" She introduced herself and apologized, a lot. We all chuckled at her. I think we laughed because the girl-whose name I learned was actually Ari-was so serious when she was fighting we didn't expect her to be so cute and polite.
When she wasn't punching someone in the face I learned that she was actually adorable and nothing like her brother (Luckily). I don't think I can handle two Obis. Kiki even mentioned to her how impressed she was. I'll tell you that Kiki doesn't compliment someone's fighting skills often.
The four of them started walking off. Hmmmm....if either of them were hired by Lord Haruka for this specific job, I wonder if they'd be interested in long term employment. But I'm not sure if I trust Obi. Ari on the other hand would be a great addition to the team. It would probably be easier to offer them both a position. I mean if Ari can love and trust her brother so much, he's got to be a good enough guy. I wonder where they learned to fight. Since they will be staying for a bit, so I can interrogate Obi's intentions, I can at least try talk to them. Obi already calls me master so maybe he already sees me as an employer even if it's not officially true.
Maybe I shouldn't ask Ari, she may be skilled but she is only a child. Hmm-- "Zen!" Shirayuki yelled. I blushed and coughed into my fist. I looked at her and smiled a bit. She's so beautiful. "Are you okay, Zen? You were spacing out for a while." I nodded and smiled brighter since she was worried about me. I told her that I was just thinking. We will see what happens with the two siblings tomorrow.
