Ari’s POV
I got back to the medical wing from renewing the stock of Spellamiso herb. This herb can lower fevers and alleviate pain when its roots are steamed and dried. (A/N the herb Shirayuki gathers in ep 1, thank you wiki)
Chief Garack told me that we were running low on Spellamiso so I happily renewed the stock. I honestly kind of just wanted to get away from Ryuu for a bit. I needed to cool down, he was so annoying earlier, ugh boys. But I guess I was a bit harsh on Ryuu.
He was probably used to being belittled by adults. Adults don't take him seriously since he is still a kid they don't trust him as much as they trust others like Chief Garack. I should probably explain why I was mad.
I turned around to go look for Ryuu who I assumed was in the medical wing with Shirayuki. As I was walking something ran into me.
Ryuu’s POV
After Shirayuki assured me that Ari would forgive me, I left to go look for her. I had been looking in the medical wing when Chief Garack said, “ Are you looking for Ari? She just left a few minutes ago.” I thanked her and ran to hopefully find Ari. I sharply turned the corner and bumped into something. Ugh, again? What is it with this corner? I opened my eyes and sat up…. It was Ari!!
"ARI!!!" I yelled like she was a mile away, she looked up and saw me then- she hugged me?!?! Isn't she angry?
"RYUU!!!" She hugged me around my waist and I was too shocked to hug her back.
"Ari, I-I'm--" I stuttered.
"Ryuu, I'm so sorry." She mumbled into my shirt.
I smiled and lightly patted her head. "You shouldn't be the one apologizing. I'm sorry for being an idiot Ari, thank you for trying to stand up for me. I'm not used to other people." I looked down to see her smiling up at me with her eyes closed. Her smile, it's so- I can't even describe it, but all I know is that she is beautiful.
"-uu, Ryuu!" Oh she called out to me I snapped out of my trance.
She continued, "I forgive you, but if you ever feel like someone doesn't understand you, I will always be there to listen and try to see from your shoes. " Her eyes twinkled with determination.
She was serious, nobody had ever wanted to understand me, accept for the chief, they kind of just either put me as a genius or a dumb brat. Yet Ari she sees me as a real person, like I'm a regular kid. Something I like about both her and Shirayuki. Ari probably knows how it feels because she is a genius too, she just had Obi to help her through it. She doesn't let her age stop her from her dream. I chuckle causing her to raise an eyebrow.
"Ari, thank you!" I smiled at her a rare bright smile.
Third POV
What Ryuu didn't know was that Ari thought that Ryuu's smile was just as cute as he thought hers was.. Neither of them knew that both of their hearts skipped a beat as they saw the other smile, a sign of pure and true love. They had no idea what they were feeling, but those feelings would only go stronger as time went on.
