*Ring Ring*
I hate how the door rings every time I walk into this beer pub. As I walk in every man straightens their backs. "We're closed Tadashi."
I slowly walk into the darkest corner in the back of the pub. My boots click theatrically with each step. I can feel sets of eyes follow my every step.
In the back I watch and observe, in the very corner where it's dark.
"Excuse me, I'm looking for Tadashi." Someone asks hurriedly. His eyes search around but they easily graze over me. He looks for a seemingly powerful male figure. Every pair of eyes are on him. He's a new face. Only regulars come here. The bartender slowly veers his head in my direction.
Humph. So he's looking for me. My lip upturns.
The bartender grabs him by the arm, gives him one last intent look in the eye. The man nods just as intent and cautiously walks to the back off the bar. You can't see a single sight, just a dim flicker towering above my feet, that're kicked back on the maroon table.
"Sir, are you Tadashi?" He asks. I so slightly lift my head so that I can see his face. "I have a proposition," He asked stuttering at my subjective presence.
He doesn't seem so sure of himself. He is obviously a messenger boy. Someone hired him to come here, why?
Tadashi is my wolf I haven't talked to him in six years. I still go by his name because it's more intriguing... And man mans name.
It's not uncommon for females to have male wolves. In 1812 our female species were massacred and well...evolution did it's thing.
I reveal my glowing red eyes in the dark answering his question. He nods before looking around the bar cautiously then sliding a paper across the metal table. Eventually, I unfold the paper using my wolf eyes to see.
Hmph...
"How much?" I demand in cold low voice. Surely if he knew where to find me he must know my work isn't cheap.
I look up only to see him startle backward. Not many people know I'm a woman and some even go as far as abolishing our contract because of it. So I kill them.
"How can I trust you'll get the job done she-wolf?" He asks saying she wolf far more derogatory then necessary.
Without a blink of an eye I put my claws in his back pulling him to me. With one sniff of his neck I know where he's from. The messenger boy raises his hands. I can feel his blood boil and his heart pump. "Please, let me free!" He begged.
I released my claws from his back. I watched his sense of relief after he rushed to touch it. Inhesitantly I gripped his neck with me canines. His child like body fell to the floor with ease. "Libertas mors." I grumbled. Quickly I snatch the money from his pockets and strut out the bar without another glance back.
When I arrive at the location the gates are open. No one immideatly approach's me or notices me at all. People have their best tailored outfits on, beads, hair pieces, shoes with cotton.
It has to be corenation day. These people don't bring out the expensive beads for nothing. I came right on time.
For this soon to be deadly event I wear a black and cream fur mink coat (it's kind of rude to our kind), dark tight cargo pants, and sexy black combat boots with a bit of shimmer and a few dark red splatters.. I easily stand out, but if I'm fast it shouldn't be a problem.
I walk on the gravel path way glancing at old acquaintances. Twenty years is a lot slower when your not human. No one seems to recognize me. Once again I easily become invisible to these people.
