Keely insisted on having a peaceful pack dinner, of course I refused in convenience that the HG has fully turned against both Greene's; therefore starting a civil war. I've been creating new battle plans, collecting weaponry and supplies to prepare.
"What do I wear to such an event like this?" I ask Nyla.
Of course I could ask Keely who may be able to help more but she has not earned my trust yet. You don't fully trust someone until they break it and you decide you trust them enough to earn it back.
Or is that just my mind?
"Well first of, get clothes in you closet other than armor." She says picking at my armor like it's a disease. I roll my eyes. I only have armor. "Aw, look at this hiding," She smiles gleefully turning around to reveal a fully lace rose red dress.
"No dresses," I tell her. She groans turning back to my closet.
"We need to see what Keely has. Hopefully she has pants and a shirt
formal enough," She says sighing at my disappointingly.
"I heard my name," Keely smiles appearing in the door. "Need some help?" Her smile strengthens then diminishes as soon as she ranges through my closet.
"Yeah and make sure all eyes are on her. I'm sure my fathers eyes will already linger," She sends a smirk at me referring to our inside joke. I send a glare her way. "I should get ready," Nyla exits out the door leaving Keely and I alone.
I never realized Keely, being six years younger than me is actually taller, her 5'9 1/2 while I'm 5'5. (Average) Everyone's taller than me by far, except Nyla being two inches shorter than me and Carlin's the same height. Nither if then inherited there fathers height.
"I found the perfect outfit Keeyln," She pulls out the nice top and bottom. The top is gold and see through matched with a black lace braluette underneath and leather pants. It's actually badass and it fits me.
If only I had a cream mink. I don't give a damn how offended our wolves gets, I like it.
"So can I ask you a question? Just one. I admit it's really for my own comfort." I said.
Her attention reverts from the closet to me. "Sure. Ask away. Anything."
"Do you have someone in your life that loves you?"
She takes a month to think and when she looks up I see this going in her eyes. A glint that shows up in there eyes of someone damaged and loved. A glint that has a resting place in my eyes.
"I had a boyfriend but we broke up just before your mate kidnapped me. Tell him he's forgiven by the way. All my life I would put my everything into everything and completely drop it when I realised it isn't what I was looking for. I was adopted right away by flawed loving parents. It was hard living in a human world hiding from my friends but my parents helped me through it. I had a typical routined life. I looked for something broken to fix like if wish someone would do for me but then I'd drop it. Quite the opposite of you. But not I have a feeling in my gut telling me that my search is over and I can leave my derivative life behind."
I nod. I see comfort in the fact that her life didn't turn out like mine. and although she had some bad habits she doesn't have to be broken.
I've noticed Keely doesn't directly address me as her sister. And believe I am sorry about leaving her in an orphanage or not knowing she was there when my parents got attacked. And I can't help but to sense her hidden uncomforted posture. She tries to hide it but before she says something somewhat vulnerable she feels uneasiness.
For some reason I don't feel that with Nyla and Carlin, it's like there my kids, something I've never had with anyone else besides Quincy and Marcos.
