10 months later| Quincy's pov

"Quickly everyone he's coming!"

War is not easy with the lives lost, picking a side, betrayal , and mostly the lies I've had to tell. I've had to lie to my brother when he returned home ten months ago.

"Everything has been okay Marcos, Keeyln sent father off to help people in the middle east with war. It's fine,"

I lied to Marcos when we were kids.

"Keeyln killed some random pack of refugees, it's fine,"

To Gail before he...you know

"Keeyln will never hurt you. She cares, look at me I'm still alive. It's fine,"

To Nyla

"I'm okay. I'll get back to normal soon. It's just war that's had me like this. And I'll even get Keeyln back, you'll see. It's fine,"

To Nyla when I sent her off to rebuild the Alphina pack

"The Alphina pack was my mothers pack. And they were killed by some random pyscho little girl sent by a competitor pack. It's fine,"

To Keeyln

"Your paranoid. We're all on your side because we believe you can win this war. It's fine,"

To Keeyln when we were kids

"You've done nothing. That pack was unimportant. No one will notice. It's fine,"

Except I've never told anywho that when I say it's fine it's not for them, it's to force myself into believing my own lie. And most of the time I did force myself into believing it. That's how you get me, a pathological liar.

All the lies I told were to protect everyone from who Keeyln really is. Or maybe I was only protecting her from other people. But I've seen what she does to the people she cares about first hand and second hand.

Caring is something she's mentally unable to handle. That's why after a heart transplant Gail has been in a coma for the last ten months. If you can't breath on your own then your already dead.

Every single one of those lies are soon to catch up with me. Things will explode while I'll be standing in the crossfire and Keeyln will be burned in the fire. Should I let that happen?

Marcos is wondering when dad will return, he thinks our mother had been missing all these years, Nyla is off to protect a pack from the wrong person, she thinks things can be normal - that Keeyln can be normal.

Keeyln is fighting a war she can't win, she's had a whole in her heart and she doesn't know who to fill it, she tries to kill as proof of her ruthlessness but nothing works because no one makes her feel as powerful as weak ol' Gail.

Sometimes no matter how similar people are you need them for different things.

She needs Gail to feel strong. I don't know why she keeps me but I know how much everyone hates her, pecking away at her strength.

And lastly Marcos he's alone, he feels like he needs someone, he's been gone for ten mouths in search of our parents who are both dead by the hands of someone he has yet to admit he cares deeply about.

He's the only one that can make Keeyln feel weak.

Keeyln gives no love, she takes it. I don't understand how someone who sends out hate only soaks up the opposite, yet somehow she's surrounded by love but she's blinded by it, she's unable to see the love she carries so she shakes it off leaving her empty.

Currently we are marching on to another one of our enemies pack villages setting fire to entire homes rather there apart of the war or not. This is how I found Nyla and took care of her at seventeen while she was only two.

I made her with her mother so it's my responsibility to take care of her.

"Help!" Yelled the screams people sent out because of the red army marching behind me.

Our amour is red with three symbols - two bears battling, two snakes, and a medusa strangling a buff man I don't know why. I choose to pick Keeyln's side because I know she is not irreversible, she has people who love her unlike our enemy.

"Set it now boss?" Daniel, a pack member asks.

I nodded hesitant before the entire village blows up. We run just like practiced retreating to the woods. I run first up the leafy muddy hill. I shush everyone when I hear leaves cracking.

It's dark and the only form of light is the blazing for behind us. The from of mushiness and wetness is under you and the scariest part is you don't know what your touching.

"Stay here," I order my men.

I push back bushes vines and high twigs before I see yellow glowing eyes in the dark growling at me.

"It's fine I'm not going to hurt you," But it seems it wants to hurt me considering I just blew up it's family.

The wolf pounces toward me and at the same time I tackle it holding the wolf by its neck. The wolf squirms and squiggles.

"Calm down, I did not want to do this. Calm down," I tried soothing it. "It's fine. I was once an Alpha and I swear I was forced to do this. I believe in goodness. Now transform,"

I put my blanket over the wolf and it reshaped into a dirty boy around Nyla's age.

"What do you mean once an alpha?"

"Well I have the eyes to match but not the title," I answered. "What's your name, boy?"

"Carlin Sanders," He looked down saddened.

huhn. Weird coincidence.

"Just get it over with, I know what happens next,". I shook my head a little saddened at myself.

"No I'm taking you back with us, and I swear on my life you'll be treated like royalty," I told him with as much reassurance I could fathem.

It may be a long shot, but I need to give her something to care about something gentle but not distractible like a dog. With Carlin maybe she'll put some pieces together.

***

"Nyla introduce him to Keeyln, he's a refugee like you," I told her.

I noticed her face heat at the sight if the boy, that doesn't usually happen.

What do you think?

Anything is Possible and certainly not final.

Lets talk about Carlin. His last name is Sanders! Who is he?

Quincy is a liar! How do you think Marcos will react when he finds out the truth about Keeyln.

Who do you think is the enemy? Who's on the other side of the war?

I created this chapter on October 6 so if I released it later and you all wanted to see different things happen in this chapter sorry.
