Chapter 30, Omw

Marcos POV

I march, march for all those lies I was told, to the lies I told myself, all the way up to the Scorpion pack mansion. Keeyln's pack to be specific.

I think back to my conversation a few hours ago...

"Marty I've been looking for twelve years. Where is my mother?" I say through clenched teeth.

He was supposed to have made progress years ago.

"What pack?"

"The leader of The Alphina pack. Have you seen them? They disappeared long ago,"

A look of horror spread across his face and he shook his head in quick motions.

"No you have to go!" He tries pushing my out the door but I don't budge.

He knows something I don't.

"What do you know Marty?"

"The Alpha said he'd kill me if I told you," I narrowed my eyes examining him.

"What Alpha?"

If he was speaking about Keeyln then he'd be to scared to even tell me someone told him not to speak.

"Lucifer," My eyes widened and my mouth trembles. "Lucifer Thyroid,"

Maybe it's a misunderstanding. No it's not I cannot be naive. I've always had a soft spot for family and look where that got me. On my way to destroy my only family.

I'll just ask my brother his part in this. Maybe he was trying to protect. No, it's not his job to protect me.

"And my father?"

"Killed." He states flatly. No Quincy said he went away so my brother could have no restraint to take over as Alpha.

"Who?"

"Why The Red Queen, of course. Keeyln Greene."

I told Quincy to be the enemy but the one blindside your enemy has in never expecting another enemy that's not there target. It's always war between two not three. But I am ripping a page out of Keeyln's book and coming in guns blazing.

Without answers: death, with answers (there all wrong ones): death. It's inevitable that someone will die to save Keeyln. But who will sacrifice themselves for Quincy?

Not I, thats for sure.

I don't even have to try to sneak in the mansion to the mainland, I just walk right in like Keeyln did all those years ago. I need a story, I don't want Keeyln to be a killer or my brother to be a Liar, so I might be willing to believe the junk they tell me.

I hope they lie so I want have a reason to hurt anyone.

I look around the mainland for any faces in recognition of Keeyln. I summoned my brother here so I could ask them together.

Quincy has been pretending to unwillingly be apart of Keeyln's army when really he is a mole. He sets all the traps on both sides, lying.

All so he can change Keelyn into believing she somewhat likes him, but he doesn't want her to change or to be like he just wants respect.

And for that reason alone is why he'll fail; she's already changed him, and I known its for worse.

"Have you seen Gail Sanders?" I ask a pack member, my voice deepening at the name.

I know this wasn't my initial plan but when I didn't see Keeyln I made another plan.

"He's in the medical center, just awoke from his coma. A miracle right. Dontcha wonder who did it? I bet it was that damn alpha. I just-" The lady rambled before I marched off. That's why you don't ask old folks questions because they can never stop talking.

I slip around a few corners until I get to the medical center. I slowly push the door and it screeches open.

I gasp a the sight before me even though it shouldn't ever surprise me.
"Dad get up!" Carlin whimpers beside him saddened. He wails holding onto Gail's collar.

"I-i can't. You have to go Carlin. Leave me!"

Carlins gloomy eyes looked up like he wanted to just ball up and whail.

"Dad, I just found you, Keeyln sent us away. I came back, for you," He shook his head and my eyes reverted down to the bullet in Gails leg causing him to be unable to move or walk. "I don't understand how you could've loved her," Carlins sobs became deeper.

"Don't speak of nothing you know about. I told you to protect yourself. You care about Nyla- In this war she is your family - so protect her, it may get you in a bad place like it did me but do it," He scolded.

Keeyln sent them away? Why would she care? Why wouldn't she have them stay? She actually protected my niece and Gail's son?

"Let me speak to Gail alone," All eyes reverts noticing me in the doorway. Nyla and Carlin stood from there kneeling position, Nyla leaving first.

"Help us, Get him out of here." Carlin told me before following behind Nyla.

I walked in front of Gails bed.

"So what happened?"

"If Keeyln couldn't kill me then she'd make sure someone else would. I can't walk and I'm so weak theres nothing doctors can do right now. War has started and if I stay here I'm already dead," Gail explains.

I nod in understanding.

Is it harsh to worry a man that was just stabbed in the heart and shot in the leg and technically killed by his lover?

"I'll help you out of here. With a condition,"

Gail rolled his eyes. "It always is with a Thyroid. Maybe Keeyln was around you all too long,"

I ignore his filthy comment and continue.

"I know what Keeyln and Quincy did and I'm sure you've connected the dots but I want revenge. Our chance for both of is to get revenge in exchange you be on my side of this war. Fight with me Sanders, it doesn't have to be for me. Do it for Carlin,"

Gail's expression is unreadable. Silence passes and he doesn't answer. "Don't tell me you still love her. She practically killed you, theres no way she loves you Gail. And if she does it isn't real love," I tell him like he's a foolish child. But the look on his face tells me no words can twist whatever's going on in his mind. "You have a kid, think about him,"

When those words process in his head alert dings off.

"Everyone knows you've always been able to deal with Keeyln yourself," He says wondering my reasoning for his help.

"Yes that is true. For every strong person there will always be someone stronger. But the thing is I'm not the only one that Keelyn has wronged. No she hasn't stabbed me... yet, but she killed my parents and Quincy covered it up both times,"

"Okay, but I'm not fighting for you. And I want you to do something,"

"Anything." I'm just glad he agreed. Standing alone could turn me into the Red Queen. Ew. A shiver goes up my spine.

"I want to see Keeyln vulnerable, for her to spill everything," I nod curiously where the hell is he getting at? How will we ever do that? "Kidnap Keeyln Greene,"

Woah! I'm sorry this wasn't to much of a Juicy chapter but I just had to finish it.

Who's ready to see Keeyln break? Again!

Who still believe in Gail and Keeyln?

Who doesn't give a Fck and waiting for this damn story to be over.
