Quincy came face front with me. "Shall we begin?" He smirked. I nodded breathlessly. We'd never fought before.

Once Quincy Thyroid was my mentor, my family, and my friend, once. Quincy didn't pick a weapon explaining it wasn't needed. Silence filled the arena enough to hear a pin drop as we took center stage in our positions.

"This is for Marcos," The prisoner smirked. "He's now dead, if you were ever wondering," He whispered in my ear. For the first time in my life I let my gasp echo so loud I was sure there wasn't a person who hadn't heard it. He's lying! He has to be.

He can't break me.

'No emotion!' I chanted. 'I won't let my guard down'

Just as fast as my mouth dropped it closed like I wasn't the one who did it, but Quincy knew and he liked it. He ate it up inside.

I'll be glad to end this, there can only be one devil on this playground. And I'm certainly not taking my ass to heaven if I were ever defeated.

Losing something has never hovered my mind. But damn it feels weak, I feel all the energy wipe out of me. I look over the crowd only to catch Gail's eye. I see the suspicious girl, Nyla, and Lalo my other trainer that I mess around with behind Gail's back.

Will it really take killing Quincy to bring emotion back into me? Will I care about the pitiful look on Gail's face or why he's still mad?

Being broken is a choice. But I'm a broken ancient artifact beyond repair.

Some glass should remain broken. Gail told me that once. And there isn't a single sole who can replace the broken for so long, so rare and valuable.

My thoughts were broken when I block a throat jab successfully sending one of my own. Quincy nods in approval although I just hit him, he respects it, because he's a fighter.

"Umm...you may begin," Nyla re-announced due to his constant pacing in circles. I immediately grab his shoulders giving him a knee in the stomach and one punch hard enough to kill him, but he isn't dead yet. Instead he was now lying conscious on the floor.

Once a weak man always a weak man. I snickered.

The crowd cheered and hollered as a way to over ride the intensity and awkwardness. But it didn't change the air is tense, as there soon to be Alpha from five years ago is lying on the floor reminding them that there beloved leader: is a dictator.

I nodded while staring at Quincy on the ground, until he did a flip and stood back up. Silence drew once more before Nyla stared in confusion before speaking up.

"No second chances," Nyla spat out breathless. Her nervousness is overwhelming. The crowd boo'd at the decision but still that smirk stayed in Quincy's face. Why? Is he not embarrassed?

I held my hand up silencing the disputable boo's, if the crowd wants a rematch thats what I shall give them. I'm surprised an alpha, son of Thanos wouldn't have put you a better fight... or at least some sort of threat.

"Prisoner 5546 has this not enough for you?"

He scoffed at the name but didn't respond. I can visibly see his blood turn and his eyes redden. His wolf has took over.

"Lucifer, I haven't had the pleasure," I greet sarcastically.

"You misjudged us Greene, I promise I will make you feel weak and when you fall for me after all I've put you through you'll sit at my knees and beg, beg me to love you, forgive you, and mark you. You can fight me but just know this'll be the first step to breaking you. I've always had a plan since you first threw me in that cell, weak one," Prisoner 5466 breathed into my ear.

"Grab a weapon, pick a battle, and begin,"

I showed no emotion nor reaction. "I never back down from a challenge," I say getting into fighting stance.

I know this chapter was short but I didn't want to put too much juice in one chapter. So I gave you all a cup half full, not half empty. I know I'm corny.

Plus I wasn't you to comment here if you thought the fight was wack!

How many more of you think I could go into detail more so you can actually imagine what's happening?
