Today is the day I or reluctantly we get to go to neverland.ive seen the mermaids before but we're not actually supposed to be seen so we hide seconds after being seen. As far as I know, the mermaids at neverland call us the 'whale twins' because of our tail shape, they've never actually properly seen our tails.i only have about a month left to live thanks to lily. Soon after she inked me, she found out she was also a siren but guess what, she also gets to be swan frickin lake but I'm not sure how it's going to work since the only grandma we have is Snow White, or Mary Margaret so hopefully she won't have to chase after my sister before she goes through the portal?
Anyway we're both standing on deck listening to our fathers lecture about neverland." Before you say anything, I know you both can defend yourself against Pan so don't say something along the lines of but dad we can handle ourselves, ok I already know. We're sat on the edge of the ship and my sister says" which one of us will die first?", I was expecting this from her because as soon as she got in trouble, her instincts were either to act innocent or sadly...flirt. So fake coughing over it so she wouldn't hear it I said" you most definitely " but she heard and laughed a little before jumping into the water, I stood and turned around saying a sailor goodbye to my father and flopping back off the ship, the water surrounded my body and I turned my legs into my extremely rare orca tail, the last guy who saw this tried to cut it off which hurt like hell, so I passed out. That was the only time lily tried to save me. I could see lily swimming with her orange tail ahead, hers was rareish but not as rare as mine, god if the mermaids saw me now, wild and free and not told to keep near the ship. I teased my sister by speeding past her, yes my tail was a little smaller but hers wasn't nearly as fast, sadly this meant I was a crap swimmer with legs.
I saw something thrown down infront of me, so I turned around and grabbed her, making sure she avoided the nets, I looked up when the nets couldn't reach us and I saw what I was waiting to see... lost boys. I nodded to my sister and we both dashed towards the boat and last second flipped so our tails hit the boat rocking it slightly, I heard yells from above the water. One I found particularly funny, a small boy was sitting there in pure fright yelling" SHARKS, SHARKS, FELIX YOU TOLD ME THERE WAS NO SHARKS". I was laughing a little but oh lily was practically crying with laughter, there was a taller boy, blonde with a baton thing in the middle who I guessed was Felix but he looked so confused but still spoke" they're no sharks Devin, there's a either very large fish or mermaid, but that one looks like a small killer whale or orca" when he said that he pointed at me so I hit the boat harder than ever which made Felix wobble but oh Devin fell in, I told lily to keep hitting the boat, I grabbed Devin by the arms and signaled to him to keep this a secret, he nodded and I smiled and sped him to shore, when we were in the shallows, I put him down so he could stand, I layed on the bay with just my head out of the water and spoke which he looked a little shocked at" don't be afraid of the sea Devin, it was just fun and games, but don't tell anyone else you saw us ok, can you do that?" He nodded and I smiled as I went under but I heard Felix shout " DEVIN ARE YOU OK?".i could tell lily was tired when I saw her, she wasn't hitting hard as she was, so i showed her to a lagoon in a cave, and went back to the boat and brought it to land, when they reached the shore, they all got out and stood on the sand to try and see what had happened to their boat just as I was a good distance away I heard one yell" THERE IT IS" so I returned to our lagoon for the night.
