I walked into the room that the meeting had been held in "I see why Pan wanted you" I looked at my outfit "who doesn't want me? I'm gorgeous" I opened a window "you said you were going to summon a 'version' of him. What does that mean?" I turned to the blonde "you're smart, I'll give you that. His shadow. You know the lengths he'll go to to protect what's his" I ran a hand through my hair roughly as I tried to figure out what shot to call, one wrong move and we'd be at war sacrificing everything
"Pan's not gonna like this. But to keep Neverland alive, we need to do this" I stroked the shadow's face gently "How is she?" I needed to know how my sister was and this might be my only chance. My eyes jerked to our company in the room asking him not to say her name "She's fine, she misses you" I turned my gaze to the floor "keep her safe" his hand held my jaw for a moment then he was gone.

As they left, Felix entered "I can't get her out of my head" he gestured to the door "there's something you need to see" i got off the wall and followed him to a closed door, I instinctively listened in "Pan's not the one you need to be worried about, it's his Queen. I gently pushed open the door to see Devin terrified of what I heard "don't stop on my account" I saw he was talking to the warlock and vampire "m-my queen, it's not what you think! I-I swear" I put a finger to his lips "hush now. I'm going to give you a choice Devin, you get to choose...who punishes you. Me, Pan, or Felix who I think will be far less gentle than the rest of us" I kept taking slow steps forward as he stepped back "tick tock".
I could see the fear on their faces. I started making whale clicking noises with my tongue "alright...I choose Pan, I-i choose Pan!" I stared at him "Felix, tell Pan we'll be sending one home early" Devin's eyes filled with horror as my face shifted into my 'sharper' state causing him to whimper like a small dog
"Please, please don't hurt me, I'll do anything you say! Just don't kill me" I jerked my head towards the door causing him to run out "do my eyes deceive me or is this a child of the ocean I see?" I put a finger to my lips asking them to keep this quiet "Devin was the first one I saved from the terrors of the ocean, and this is how he repays me? Unbelievable" I sat on the table and showed my tail waving it slightly. Because I was out of water, I still kept my T-shirt and leather jacket on.
"You have no idea how long I've wanted to do that" the vampire looked confused "I'm sorry, what? What's a 'child of the ocean'?" I smiled gesturing to my fins "a child of the ocean ranges from mermaid, siren, whalemaid so basically any human with fins is a child of the ocean"! He looked slightly less confused "what's a whalemaid?"
I tilted my head "it's a rare being that can be a siren or a mermaid, so me, I'm an orca but I'm a siren" now he was on the right track. I flapped my fins back and forth running a hand over the rim that changed between human skin and orca skin "legs can be so restricting" I quickly heard someone coming down the corridor and changed back hopping off the table, I put a finger to my lips.
A lost boy came in "My Queen, he's here" and I nodded to the gentlemen and left the room.
