After school

I needed some peace of mind so I went to where I first saw that man who broke in, the preserve, I crouched in the middle of the woods holding my head "c'mon Thea, you're the daughter of Captain Hook and Emma Swan for gods sake, like dad said. Just like Neverland."

I didn't dare remove my hands from my head "yes! Just like neverland, the kingdom you left behind, you left us Thea, you turned against me, just to get one heart back, when we could've had it all" I looked up and saw Pan, he's still on neverland isn't he? "Shut up! Just shut up!"

I felt a pain in my side and saw the veins again "it's all in my head, he's not here, but I'm still dying, aren't I?" I looked up and saw pan smirking "told you, you had to pay a price love, magic always comes with one, join me on neverland again, we can fix this" I let out a blood curling scream and held my head again.

"Are you ok?" I looked behind me and saw the man who broke into my house "you shouldn't be here.... I'm too dangerous... he's too dangerous..." my head pounded with every word "Thea, it's ok, hey it's ok. He's not here, he's still back on the island, your cured, your not dying" I started stumbling backwards "listen to my words Thea"

I looked up and saw lily stood with the man "he said I had to pay... this... this is what he meant, I need to get back to our parents, I need to, they have the...the... um... thingy that you throw and opens that other thingy" I gestured with my hands but two grabbed my own

"Thea, Pan is still on neverland, he can't hurt you. Our father gave you the cure to the curse, you took it. Our parents are cursed,we can't go back, not to Henry, not to gold, not to anyone, you hear me? We're stuck here with Neal. It's all been a rush for you but your gonna make it, we're gonna make it, alright?"

I let go of my head to see a bullet fly past "I swear if you say lost boys, I'm telling dad you had a meltdown about his enemy and your king" I shook my head "definitely not lost boys, lost boys have better aim, I should know, I taught them how to shoot" i grasped my cutlas "can I use the sword now? Or is it against your golden rules?" She nodded and took the man inside

"y'know, where I come from, if you miss when you shoot someone, it means the start of a game" I saw two women walk out of the trees and into the clearing "looks like you found a bitch, good job. Maybe this mutt will know who the alpha is?" I smiled and swung my sword around once "I'm not a werewolf" I adjusted my grip and looked at my father's initials on the handle "I'm a pirate"

I swung and sliced the older woman's face "and you just caught me during happy hour" the other one aimed at me "grandma would be so proud of you" I started to sing 'only human' and watched as she held her ears, the older one struggled up and tried to hit me with a branch but I blocked it with my sword and kicked her in the stomach.

Now both were curled on the floor, one bleeding more than the other but both down "did I miss a duelling lesson with dad? Or did you just pull off his signature move?" I put my sword back and joined them in the doorway "his signature move was with the hook, I just did the one he used on mom while saving aurora"

the man looked very confused "ok, we have a lot to explain" my sister gave me a shocked look "Thea! Are you crazy?!? Dad said trust no one with the truth" I flexed my hands a little "I just had a meltdown about pan in front of a werewolf, I think we're good to tell this one" he led us upstairs where another man was waiting.

"Who's this guy?" I gave a lazy point to the guy sat on the couch "a former lunatic, I'm much healthier now" I gave him a sarcastic smile "it's about time Derek became a player and brought home some girls" rolled my eyes looking at my sister "just like gold" "just like gold" we both thought the same thing considering we'd met the same man.

"Ok, who's this 'gold' anyway?" I gestured to my twin "we're getting to that" I sat on the table "your probably wondering why we keep making fairytale references and why I had a meltdown outside? Yea we're not from here" I looked down "so where are you sweethearts from?" I looked up and folded my arms

"a little hidden town called storybrooke, where every tale ever told is true, every character ever created is alive, curses exist, so do witches" I looked at my sister for reassurance "so you two are from a town of storybook characters? Who are your parents? Snow White and Prince Charming?" I gestured with my hand "actually, that's our grandparents. They met while she was robbing his carriage"

'Derek' gave a surprised looked "that explains how your good with a sword, but you said something about your parents and a curse?" I tossed my sister my sword "our mother is the saviour, Emma swan, and our father is, Captain Hook, Killian Jones" she passed 'lunatic' the sword who examined the handle

"my personal curse which would kill me a few months ago was drawing near to its end, so we went to neverland, to preserve my life, I became Queen and helped the lost boys erasing the memories of those I loved temporarily, when our parents came for us, I was forced to betray Pan, who got mad and said I had to pay"

all eyes were on me "pay with what? Cash?" I laughed at the thought of Pan taking credit cards "when your with Peter Pan or his son, Rumplestilskin, you pay with someone you care about or something your afraid of" I looked at 'Derek' "you were right, we're not human, we're sirens. We have a bad reputation but I've never killed anyone, like that anyway"

I looked back to the floor "the curse our parents are under could mean we never see any on them again, ever. It makes them all see the worst of each other and turns them into a 'dark one'" I didn't really know how to explain it
"it's the worst, most vengeful, evil version of someone. There's a dagger that comes with it with your name on it but we call them 'dark ones' and our parents have only ever been like that once before"

I really wanted to stop talking but I knew I couldn't yet "Thea, I know that face! I know what your thinking! You heard what mom said didn't you? That barrier spell would be the last big spell you did-" I jerked my head to my sister "but what if it wasn't? What if somehow we could stay hidden on high tide?"

I was brought out of my thoughts when my phone rang, the screen read 'Mom❤️' I looked at lily who was staring at the phone "but that's impossible" I quickly answered the phone and put it on speaker "Mom? Aren't you-" I looked at lily then at the others

"cursed? Yea. your enchantment didn't work Thea, your dad got out, he said he's coming after you because he thinks you ran away, but your spell does keep everyone with shattered sight in, so thanks for that, just look out, let lily know the same, I'm gonna try and stop him before he reaches you, your sister or neal"

Throughout the whole call, I could here the darkness in her voice "Yea sorry, I think I pronounced a word wrong or something. I just can't wait for this to be over, I miss you guys" I could hear her footsteps through the phone, she was searching. "I miss you too kid, just stay away from your father, he's still cursed and as you remember, he doesn't remember the love, that just turns into hate. Stay safe" then the call went dead, I saw everyone with raised eyebrows

"The darkness also suppresses all emotion but revenge so she's trying, dad probably isn't but we just gotta watch our backs" the lunatic looked confused "why's your father so bad?" I started walking forward to pace "well, he's a dark one, second he's a 200 and something year old pirate, taught me how to fight, and pretty much knows all our tricks, so unless mom stops him, we being my sister and I, are doomed"

I gathered my weapons "I've gotta feed neal so I'll get going" I walked out the door as I heard the question 'Who's neal?' get asked so I kept going until I heard footsteps behind me, I spun around to see my sister following me "chill, it's been an active day for all of us" we walked hand in hand home to our apartment.
