"You can't seriously be drinking that?!" I took another swig of Dad's prized rum bottle knowing my father took less time than we did getting to town so he was probably here "dad used to didn't he? Must be ok" I knew I was acting like a bitch but I was only used to being dependent on myself, i didn't know how to care for a baby, lily seemed to be in her element so why not let her take charge for a little while?
"Hey T, we need to talk. What's going on with you?" I wasn't sure myself but I had to try "before neverland, after the car accident, I started getting nightmares, yesterday I was suddenly crazy, seeing Pan and feeling the pressure of getting home riding on me, I guess I'm out of my element here" I saw her smile at my openness "well you probably need time to adjust, you used to be the strong battle cry type twin, now you're in a shell"
I put the rum bottle in my bag, I'd managed to sneak a cutlass into my locker but I put a bow in my bag with arrows in, the bow was one of those fold up ones. We fed and said bye to neal then walked to school. As soon as I arrived, the hallway was quite so I shoved and hid the weapons, then headed to English.
I sat in the back corner behind two boys, both from the lacrosse field. Lily sat next to me glancing at me when the teacher wasn't looking, suddenly the teacher walked out and returned with a book on old fashioned pirates and what the crimes for piracy were "Bloody hell" lily shot me a look, she knew why I said that but still warned me
"Thea!" I raised my hands quietly "Sorry, you were thinking the same" she raised her eyebrow like our father would and nodded "Aye" even though we weren't allowed to say anything about dad, we still had our pirate jokes, they were more inside jokes than anything, to suppress the feelings of missing him.
I walked out the class room but was tugged aside by the two teens "how'd you do that? I've never seen a girl do that before" I really wanted to kick him and correct him 'pirate' but I knew I couldn't "it was easy, you're all slow" I saw the 'Jackson' guy glaring at me "Yea but you can't be that good-"
I sighed and thought of a joke "just accept that you were beaten by a girl and move on, you'll feel better" I flicked my hair and joined my sister "you couldn't help but win could you?" She was referring to the sword fight at home and the race yesterday "had to make a good impression, I'm not someone to be messed with, you know this" I folded my arms against my locker " you definitely 'are' a play fighter, I'll give you that" I slung my bag on my shoulder when my phone beeped

I showed her the screen and we nodded, we knew that we needed to protect our dad but also the wolves, red would kill me if they were her pack. We went home, grabbed our gear, fed and changed neal's diaper then went back to school.

I walked around the outside waiting for the dogs to come "Thea, they're here" I looked in the doorway and saw my parents hand in hand together, I didn't care if they were working together all along, family comes first "Mom? Dad?" They both turned around looking at me, before they could say anything, I rushed into a hug
"I'm surprised you're not mad at us working together" I pulled away "Oh I'm mad, but we'll get to that later" I pulled out my sword from my locker as I heard distant howls "they're here, but they only know it's you guys, so we are gonna get the advantage" I saw them look at each other then smile, in a creepy kind of way.
I hid on the stairwell while lily hid outside, soon enough I saw Derek and a few friends enter, including the girl who tried to shoot me. "Thank you, for joining our family reunion. It's been a pleasure in this small town of yours but it might look better as ours" i held my breath and walked out and saw lily coming as well
"Get out the way Thea!" I saw a human at the back wanting to run "Family comes first Derek, I thought you'd get that?" he gave me a glance "family? Your parents are in your hometown" I gave him a hurtful look "you wanted to meet my parents, now you have"
He looked at my parents, the one at the back stared at dad's hook "is that a... hook?" I smiled evilly "that's Captain Hook to you mate" I adjusted my grip "so everything you said was true?" I showed my sharpened teeth "every part"
My twin and I advanced forward to meet them "that's how you won on the track, you were trained as a pirate, and the pirate jokes" I swung my sword and the girl with the bow "go back to hunting werewolves, sirens can be so much more... melodic" I saw her flinch at the last word, she didn't know was getting into, all she knew is that she had to kill something, not what.
I was about to take another step when I heard a high pitched noise, it just kept ringing in my head. Out of the corner of my eye, lily had collapsed to the floor, it was just pissing me off, I clutched my head and fought the pain letting my 'scary' face show, hissing at them and jerking my head like a snake would if you threatened it
"remarkable isn't she? Thea was always immune to a banshee scream" I snapped at them. I picked the weapon back up and was about to start forward pushing them through the doors but something stabbed me in the back causing me to fall to the floor.
