A Siren's Song

Fins flippin'

A little while later

i waited til we were far enough away from the cave and met with Ariel who helped me to shore as i started to sink. i lay on the beach "i need you to remove my heart" she looked confused "I'm sorry, what!?" lily rolled her eyes and did it herself "one of you needs to take it to pan, he'll keep it safe" Lily changed her legs and ran into the woods.

I smacked my tail down in frustration "ugh! The drama of Neverland" it didn't help that today was a particularly hot day "Isn't your tail going to burn? Because it's black?" I shrugged "good point" I looked at the sea which seemed miles away and flopped back down "I'm lazy, it's too far" she looked back "it's a couple centimetres away"  I didn't really want to haul my blubber all that way, it wasn't light like normal mermaids have.

Alec needed to see that I was alive "There's something I need to see" she dove back in the water as I regained my legs, I used them to rush to Pan's tree and find Alec tied to it.

"Having a leisure day?" His eyes widened as he saw me "You? You died" i shook my head "a coma doesn't mean I was dead. Dead is what you are for not cooperating with Pan, and dead is what your boyfriend will be with my sister, along with the vampire"

he looked down realising what he'd done "you really think, you could just do what you wanted? No consequences? You're an adult Alec, neverland rules don't apply to you, and for everyone else that inhabits the island, there are no rules."

His eyes followed me like I wanted them to as I walked around the tree "you think I like seelies? They talk down to us as if they're all royalty, treat us like we've never done this before. I only saved him to save my people. The other two shadowhunters sold you out telling me of your plan to 'microchip the whole downworld' including Neverland, but if you didn't include neverland, you could've done it and we wouldn't care.

"Having fun?" I turned and saw Pan "always" I ran my knife along Alec's throat "maybe we could use him on high tide, keep lily in the sea?" He rubbed my cheek "If we can keep hold of him that long" I went to grab another weapon from behind the tree "Alexander!" I peeked around to see the warlock "What took you so long?" I pressed my back to the bark

"You realise your in the middle of the never-sea? It has the same effects as the Bermuda Triangle. No tracking" I started to sing yet another wordless song while they're eyes scanned around as pan stepped back into the clearing "Stop denying who you really are"

I stepped into their line of sight "you! You had fins" Raphael still couldn't wrap his head around the fact I was a siren "tell me Raphael, how am I meant to control an island if I'm not on the island? From the sea?" He looked at Magnus "I'd suggest you leave, but it's always the same situation isn't it? Pan takes someone, their 'loved ones' come to 'save' them and end up either getting killed or just return home. So why don't you save us the anticipation and choose: death or no more Alec?"

I fiddled with my knife "He'll be safe with us" Pan wrapped his arms around my waist "no matter what you choose, neverland is no longer part of the council, good luck solving your own problems" Magnus suddenly ripped the necklace from my neck expecting me to grow fins and fall to the floor "it doesn't work like that. I have to already have fins, the necklace just helps me swapping between the two" he handed it back to me then I tied it back around my neck "that's what you hit me with?! Fins?!" I smiled "it worked didn't it?"

Pan pulled out my heart from somewhere and put a spell over it, then placed it back in me "So is this a hobby? Pulling out each other's hearts?" I laughed "only if one annoys the other" he handed me Alec's heart which I put back into his body "it dampens your emotions and makes you unable to die. Unless you put your heart into the wrong body, then you die"

I looked at Magnus "two people can live off one heart, you break it in two and it links them, it's what my grandparents did" I untied Alec letting him reunite with his boyfriend "let's send everyone home tonight? Maybe hold a party?"

I ventured back to the lagoon, the main one with all the other mermaids and apparently lost boys. I got back my tail and sat on a rock, I saw lily being all over Felix but Pan was no where to be found. I slipped down so the water was waist height on me, the girls seemed to enjoy having the lost boys around but I wanted 'my' lost boy.

"There you are" I looked back to see Pan without a top on "I was starting to wonder if Alec had started killing the island starting with the first lost boy" as he waded through the water, I wrapped my arms around his neck gently, I kept us both up as we leaned our foreheads together, today was going to be a good night.
