I heard a knocking on the door and sat up then heard it again and realized someone was trying to wake me up. I got up and slid some shorts on then opened the door to Nic, making me happy I slid shorts on.
"Hey, we're all heading to breakfast."
"Alright, let me get dressed." I said and he nodded then I went to my bag to get dressed.
I left the room and put my hat on then we left and the guys eyed me.
"What?"
"Do you own non black clothes?" Zak asked and I laughed then nodded.
"I do, doesn't mean I wanna wear them." They laughed and we got to a restaurant near the hotel then the man eyed me as we sat to eat.
"What can I get you all to drink?" He asked and I danced in my seat as I eyed the food.
"Lina, what did you want?" Jay asked and I smiled.
"Water is fine." I smiled and he nodded then the waiter gave me a lingering look before leaving. I rolled my eyes and set my menu down then stretched.
"I hate flirtatious waiters." I said and the guys laughed then my phone rang and I looked to see it was my dad.
"Hey, dad!" I said as I answered and leaned on the table.
"Hello, Lina. How's your new job?" He asked and coughed then my smile dropped.
"Dad, are you sick?" I asked and stood up then went outside.
"No, I'm alright. So, your job?"
"It's good, we're at a new location now. Dad, do you promise on mom's grave?" I asked and he was silent for awhile.
"It's just a cold-"
"Dad!" I said and heard the door open then saw Zak and sighed.
"Dad, you need to go to the doctor! You know with your health that a cold could-"
"Lina, I have an at home nurse! And she's a hottie-"
"Dad, that's so gross." I laughed and he chuckled.
"You love me."
"I love you because you're the last of my living family that I can stand." I said and Zak bumped me, making me turn to him.
"Hey, what's up?"
"The drinks just got there, we just got you some waffles."
"Thanks, Zak. Dad, I have to go." I said and he laughed.
"Alright. And if you're ever here in Maine-"
"I'll come see you, I promise." I said and he laughed then I hung up. Zak and I went inside then we sat and I ran my hands over my arms.
"Is your dad okay?"
"Yeah, he's sick. Plus, he has bad health so if he gets too sick, he could end up in the hospital." I said and took a bite of my food when the waiter returned to the table.
"Excuse me, are you Evelina Nilsson?" I looked at him and swallowed my food then smiled.
"Yes, I am. Why?"
"There's a Kyle Lockyer at the front asking for you." I looked at the door and saw Kyle then choked on air.
"Um, thank you." The waiter left as I coughed then I cleared my throat.
"He followed you across the country?!" Aaron whispered and I nodded as I tried to breathe.
"I really don't want to face that psychotic stalker." I whispered and Zak stood.
"Then allow me to escort you."
"Zak!" I hissed and chased him to the front as Kyle's eyes widened. Zak grabbed Kyle and dragged him outside but I stood a few feet behind Zak as he glared at Kyle.
"You keep stalking her and I'll get really pissed. Back off her, she wants nothing to do with you." He growled and I grabbed his arm then he looked at me as Kyle eyed me.
"Zak, it's alright." I whispered and he nodded then I turned to Kyle, holding Zak's hand tightly in my own.
"Kyle, Zak is right. I'll make sure the world knows you're a stalking, psychotic, egotistical asshole who obsesses over every girl. And if that doesn't persuade you, you must have forgotten my dabbles." His eyes widened then he turned and ran from the restaurant parking lot, jumped in his car, and left. I turned to Zak and saw his confused look then led him back into the restaurant.
"Lina-"
"Not now, Zak." I said and we sat then the guys eyed us.
"What happened?" Billy asked and I shook my head.
"I'll explain later. For now, let's eat and get ready for the lockdown." I said and Zak gave me a look but I ignored it as I kept eating. I'll tell them of my dabbles in witchcraft later, I can't expose that yet.
