I walked down the stairs and opened the front door, leading the group outside.

"Thank you for visiting the John McGee museum house, I hope we see you again." I said and forced a smile then they all left and I sighed as I locked the house back and went to my car. I drove to the store and noticed people giving me odd looks but I didn't care since I was just getting food and toiletries that I needed for home. When I finally left there about an hour later, I got home but a black SUV was in my driveway and five people were sitting inside. Since they hadn't noticed me just yet, I went to the window and smacked my palms against the glass, making one of them scream like a girl. I laughed as Zak rolled the window down then he shook his head and Billy was covering his face, Nic was taking deep breaths with a hand over his heart, Jay was laughing, and Aaron was holding his head and rocking slightly.

"You just scared the hell out of us."

"Oops. Come help me get my groceries inside and maybe I'll feel bad." I said and they turned the car off then helped me with groceries. When Jay got the last bag, he shut the door and I started to put everything away.

"So, how's work now?" Nic asked and I slowed then smiled.

"Good. Thank you for helping me last year." It's been about a year now since the McGee episode aired so I've been going about that long since any attacks or anything unusual.

"And the house?" Jay asked and I put the paper towels I bought in the pantry on the floor.

"Nothing odd happens to me, other guides say things happen with them though. I didn't expect to see you four ever again." I said and Zak smiled.

"Well, we got worried when we didn't hear anything about the house after the episode aired. Your boss said he would let us know how things were but we never got a call or anything."

"Dave is like that." I said and pulled my hair into a pony tail as I grabbed the frozen pizzas I'd bought.

"So, you boys hungry?"

"Yes!" Aaron cheered and I laughed as I turned my oven on.

"Good, I'm making frozen pizza." He laughed and hugged me then we went to the living room to sit.

"I remember you saying you'd cracked your ribs before. How is that?" Billy asked and I smiled.

"They say that with time, I'll be able to breathe right again." I said and they smiled when someone suddenly knocked on the door.

"I wasn't expecting anyone today." I whispered and stood then went to the door and opened it.

"Ky-Kyle?" I whispered and he smiled at me.

"Hey, Lina. Uh, can we talk?"

"Now is not a good time, I've got friends over." I said and he glanced at the SUV then nodded.

"Then in the kitchen? This is kinda important."

"Yeah, I get that but-" I stopped as someone came up behind me then Kyle stared at him.

"Hey, the oven is done." Zak said and I nodded then turned to him.

"Thanks, Zak. I'll be in there in a minute." He nodded and lingered for a second before going back to the living room.

"Listen, Kyle, I can't talk right now. I'm sorry, this'll have to-"

"Evelina, please give me a second chance!" He said as I went to shut the door then I sighed and opened it enough to look at him.

"I can't, Kyle. After my accidents and everything I've been through, and the way you treated me afterwards, I can't go through that again. I'm sorry-"

"Lina, I'm not done with you!" He growled as I went to shut the door again then Zak was suddenly next to me and his hand was on the door.

"Well she's done with you so see ya." He said and slammed the door then I smiled at him.

"Thanks, Zak."

"Your welcome." He smiled and I went to put the pizza in the oven. When I went back to the living room, they had my TV on and had put on some crime show.

"Who was he?" Jay asked and I sighed.

"A mistake in my past, that's all." I said and he nodded then I laid my head back on the couch as we watched the show and waited for the pizza.
