Seven

My hands were shaking as I put the X-camera up then I nearly dropped it and Nic grabbed it.

"Hey, what's going on with you? You've been off since this morning." He said and I shook my head then smoothed out my shorts.

"Nothing, I'm fine." I said and went back to Nerve then saw Zak and stumbled as my sixth sense kicked in.

"Lina?" Aaron caught me then I sat and ran my hands through my hair.

"What's wrong?" Zak asked and I sighed.

"There's something you don't know about me."

"We don't know a lot-"

"I'm a witch." I said and they stopped then Billy stepped closer.

"Like spells and rituals witch?"

"Yeah." I whispered and stood then started pacing as I threw my hat onto a chair nearby.

"I've been a witch for about three years now, I started learning when I first started working in the McGee house to try and exercise the house. I don't practice satanic magic, I practice light or good magic. My focus is exercising ghosts and helping them cross over." I said and Jay grabbed my elbow then made me stop pacing.

"At least you aren't summoning them to fuck us up." Everyone laughed and Zak hugged me, my arms going around him, then he sighed.

"Then you're going to be more help than we thought." I smiled and ran my hands through my hair then nodded.

"That's what you meant by dabbles?" Zak asked and I nodded then he smiled.

"If you guys don't mind, now that you know, I'd like to do a spell to try and awaken any spirits here." I said and they nodded then I grabbed my spell book and went upstairs, Nic grabbing a camera and following me.

"Dorothea Puente, I am here to royally piss you off and to wake any other spirits here. I am here to give you the energy to manifest and communicate with us tonight." I said and went to the hallway upstairs and opened my book.

"With these words, I emmite the energy to speak with you. With these words, I open the doorway to heaven or hell. And as I speak with you tonight, I command you to show yourself to us and to tell us your story. By the power of the light in this world, I give you the power you need to show yourself tonight." I said and grabbed my chalk then drew a symbol on the floor. With a simple wet wipe, it could be removed. I stood and closed my book then looked at Nic.

"All done?" I nodded and we went back downstairs then I stopped as I felt the energy hit me.

"They're already here." I whispered and Nic laughed some.

"That spell is fast acting." I nodded and we went to Nerve then I set the book inside my purse.

"That was a quick spell." Aaron said and I nodded as I sat down, the energy drain hitting me.

"Are you alright?" I nodded and smiled.

"Just a bit drained from the spell." I said and they understood then the lockdown began.

I stretched as we drove towards the airport so we could fly to Las Vegas to go home. I was going to live with Zak until I got my own place, since I lived in New York before, but my things were being sent to his house. We got to the airport then I slid my sandals on and we got our things inside as Billy dealt with the rental car.

"Ready to live in a haunted house?" Zak asked and I nodded.

"Sure, why not?" I said and he laughed as I yawned.

"Tired?" Jay joked and I playfully smacked his stomach.

"You are too, don't deny it." He laughed and nodded then our flight was called and we boarded it. I was next to Zak but he easily let me sleep on his shoulder as he laid back some.

"Zak?" I whispered in a half asleep state and he made a sound.

"Thank you for being here for me." I whispered then fell asleep.
