"It is finally time! We're going to be locked down in this entire town with the mine, the brothel, museum, and, of course, the saloon. Because the spirits here are so hateful towards witches, Lina has offered herself up to them. She's going in there with nothing more than her newest spell book, crystal, a camera, and a recorder. She's going to be in the saloon for three hours, the brothel for four, the mine for one, and the museum for the rest of the night. She's never going to be with us for more than half an hour all night! Are you ready, Lina?" I nodded and he handed me a camera then my recorder and the cameras turned off.
"Zak, can I talk to you?" I whispered and he nodded then I grabbed his hand and pulled him to the museum. He seemed confused but I reached around him and turned his mic off then did the same to mine.
"Lina-"
"I don't know if I can do this." I whispered and he seemed confused.
"What?"
"There's something about this place that's telling me not to be alone." I said and he shook his head.
"Like, one of the spirits warning you?"
"I think so. I don't know what it is but I don't feel right here, just like with the McGee house. It's like they're going to seriously hurt me." I said and he grabbed my chin then smiled.
"We'll be watching you-"
"That's not the point here!" I yelled and stopped as I realized the guys could have heard.
"That's not the point, Zak. The point is, I could be seriously injured here." I said and he hugged me then sighed.
"Then I'll have Nic with you the whole time, alright?" I nodded and held his shirt tightly as I tried to calm down.
"Zak, Lina? Everything alright?" Aaron called and Zak let me go then I smiled at Aaron as he came in with his camera.
"Yeah, it's alright." Zak said and turned his mic back on then I did the same. We went out then Zak told Billy the new plan and the cameras started rolling again.
"Okay, slight change of plans. Something happened during our break and now Nic will be with Lina for a few different reasons. Nic, Lina, are you two ready?" I nodded and had to clutch my recorder to hide the shaking of my hands.
"Then off you two go to the saloon first. Have fun." He said and I looked at him one last time before we left but I saw fear in his eyes. I didn't know if it was fear for me and Nic or for himself, I just saw pure fear in his eyes. We went to the saloon and I stopped in the doorway with Nic behind me but he was filming me.
"Lina, what's wrong?" He asked and I shook my head.
"I shouldn't be in here, I really shouldn't be in here." I said and kept walking but as we got to the bar, I stumbled against a chair.
"Whoa, careful! Okay, hold onto me." Nic set his camera down and grabbed me, holding me upright to help me sit in the chair at the bar.
"So, witches are more connected to both the spiritual and material worlds than most people. Only certain psychics who have been training their whole lives are more connected than us or dark witches who summon spirits and demons from the spiritual world." I said as Nic filmed me then I grabbed my recorder and held it up as I held my head.
"Is there someone here who's affecting me?" I asked and Nic was silent for a good half hour as I asked questions with five minutes between each one. When we finally stopped at the bar, we went towards the corner booth where a lot of the prostitutes would entertain men. We sat and Nic eyed the area but it wasn't like we could see much.
"Why do you hate witches so much?" I asked and we remained in the booth until we left and went to the brothel. We ran into Zak on the way my cleavage was burning and I winced, making him come towards me.
"Hey, are you okay?" I shook my head and Aaron turned his camera light on.
"Something's wrong. My chest burns, I feel like I can't breathe, and there's this dark energy swirling around me. I can't focus right now." I said and ran my hands through my hair then kicked my heels off as I tried to calm down.
Zak's POV
I watched Lina walk down the main road with her heels by my feet but I could hear her whispering through her mic."I think something in that saloon really affected her, she's not herself right now." I whispered to the camera and Aaron took a deep breath.
"Alright, it's decided. Zak, have fun." Then I looked at him like he was crazy.
"Wait, what?"
"Go talk to her, man! See what's wrong with her." He said and Nic nodded.
"Yeah, she won't talk to us the way she does you. Just go see what's wrong." I sighed and went to Lina then grabbed her and turned her towards me, only to stop when I saw her hand over her chest and blood running from under her fingers.
"Lina?"
"I'm hurt." She whispered and I moved her hand then saw a cut mark on her chest.
"Oh my god, Evelina!" I pushed her hair behind her shoulder and Aaron ran over with Nic as I frantically looked for something to put on the wound until we got her to nerve.
"Here, I have a dust rag. I was using it for the camera." I took it from Aaron then put it to her chest and held her hand on it as I walked her to nerve.
"Guys, get her shoes!" I called over my shoulder and took her to nerve but Jay already had the med kit out.
"What happened in that saloon?" I asked Nic and he shook his head.
"Nothing! There was no activity what so ever! She stumbled some at first but she never made any indication that she got hurt!" He said as I cleaned the wound and she grabbed my shirt as she groaned from pain.
"I'm sorry." She shook her head and I soon finished then rinsed my hands and grabbed a recorder.
"I'm not done with that saloon." I growled and the guys followed as Lina stayed with Jay and Billy at nerve. Right now, I was pissed. You wanna mess with my girl, I'll make you regret it.
