The train ride was long and boring. Honestly nothing like I've ever felt before. Winry gazed out of the train window, and I could tell that she was worried. "They're probably okay Winry. Ed was probably just either too lazy or too scared to come to Resembool." I assured her. She sighed. "I hope your right, Those boys are always getting into trouble now... I'm just hoping that it isn't horrible,"

I've known Edward, Alphonse, and Winry longer than I could remember. They were practically my siblings from other parents. We hung out a lot, and we were very close. We went on little adventures,  did homework together, and played all the time. Our parents knew each other. Thinking about this brought back the melancholic memories of my family, Doing chores with my parents and sister, playing,  having fun. I remembered my mother's soft smile and My father's brave one. I remember my dad's Friends, Roy and Maes, and how they loved my sister and I. I remembered Dad's bear hugs and all of the kisses, I tried not to cry. Just focus on Ed and Al....   

"The hospital?!?" Winry screeched to a tall, bulky man. He nodded and brought us to the hospital. I was honestly so confused. How did Winry know this guy? I thought to myself. He looked down at me. "Winry, Who is your friend?" He asked in a deep voice. Winry looked to him, "This is my friend Mira, I decided to bring her with me because she never really leaves her house." She smiled. I nodded. He held his hand out to me and I took it. He shook it. "I am Major Alex Louis Armstrong, But you can call me whatever you'd like," He smiled. I nodded "Nice to meet you Major," I smiled. "Like Winry said, I'm Mira." I looked to Winry and she smiled at me. The major studied me. "Strange..you seem like someone i know," He said. "Two people, Actually." I looked at him. "What's their name?" I asked. "Well, The one I KNOW is Lieutenant Jared, The other I knew is sadly Deceased, Major Jared, Lieutenant Jared is his daughter." He smiled and I laughed. " Lieutenant Jared? She's my sister! And Major Jared.. Well, He's my dad.." my laughing faded as I got to the sad topic. Major Nodded. "Lieutenant Jared DID talk about having a little sister, And Major Jared always talked about his kids and his Wife," he said. "Now, Shall we head out?" Winry and I both nodded  and we headed to the hospital.

We got to the hospital and Winry was as worried as ever. "I thought you said that they were okay, Mira." She looked at me, Worry in her eyes. I looked down. "I said probably. Thats not an exact answer," I answered, looking down at myself. When we got to their room, We went in and saw Ed sitting on the bed and Al sitting in the corner, Quietly looking down. He looked up and met my gaze. We both looked away, me blushing,  then I went and sat next to him. "how are you, Al?" I asked him quietly. He looked to me. "Im okay, I guess." He said. I looked worried. "you guess?" He looked away and I continued. "you Guess? What is that supposed to mean?" He looked back at me then away. "It's nothing Mira, Thanks for worrying about me tho, But Im fine." He put his hand on my shoulder and I cuddled into him and Closed my eyes. For a suit of armor, he was surprisingly comfortable. Both him and I were startled when Ed and Winry started one of their yelling fits. And it was about milk. Al took his hand away from me. "Just drink the dumb Milk Ed," Al Snapped. He stood up and walked out of the room. Everyone looked at him in shock. Winry sighed and started working on Ed's automail. I sat and watched them. When she finished fixing his arm, He tested it. "thanks Winry!" he said, grinning.

Suddenly, A familiar looking man in a military uniform burst through the door. "Ed, My boy! Is it true that you brought two pretty girls in your room to service you?" Ed fell off of the bed and sat up. "she's my Automail mechanic and childhood friend! That's all, Nothing more!" He yelled. "oh, I see, so you've seduced your mechanic and Friend, Have you?" The man said. Ed threw his hands to his face "Thats not what I said at all! Were you even listening to me?!?" He screamed. Winry and I were both flustered. The man turned to us. "I heard that you two dont have a place to stay, so you're going to have to come with me. My family and I would Love to have you!" He smiled. I stood up and So did Winry. We waved bye to Ed and went with the man.

The man introduced himelf as Lieutenant Colonel Hughes. "Hughes? Like...Maes Hughes?" He nodded. "That's me!" he beamed. "D-Did you know Nathan Jared?" I asked. He nodded. "He was One of my greatest Friends, How did you know him?" He asked. "Well, He was my father..."I sighed sadly, Hughes looked surprised. "Really!? You know, he always used to talk about you and your sister" Hughes smiles more and I smiled back. 

His wife's name was Gracia and His daughter's name was Elicia. It Surprisingly was her birthday that day. She would look up at me with Curious eyes, then hugged my legs. I smiled and Kneeled down, hugging her. gosh... I love kids, I thought.

When it was time for dinner, Gracia was getting ready to make dinner. The looked in the fridge. "oh, We're out of Milk.." She said. "I'll have to go to the store. As she grabbed her coat I stopped her. "I can go, if you'd like," Gracia smiled. "Why thank you Mira, that's very kind of you," I smiles Back and she handed me some money for milk, And I headed out into the night.
