Light Through the Dark

The entire process was a rollercoaster of emotions and pain. It had been hours since Envy got here and I was just now getting ready to deliver Amelia. Fear filled me and I started bawling, holding Envy's hand tightly. "I-Im not ready!" I cried. Envy kissed my cheek. "You can do this, Love. I know you can. You're going to do amazing and you're going to be an amazing mom," He said, Smiling. His words caused me to smile. "You're going to be an amazing dad," I replied, breathing deeply. Tears welled in Envy's eyes and I wiped them away. He leaned down and kissed my cheek. "Let's get this done," He said. I nodded.

I practically lost it when Michi gave Amelia to me. My teara of pain and fear turned to pure joy. I looked to Envy and he was crying too. He kissed me and looked to Amelia. "We should call her Millie, As a nickname," he said. I nodded. "Millie...That sounds very fitting," I smiled and looked down at Millie. She had a bit of red hair and looked a lot like Envy, which caused me to cry more. "She looks like you.." I said. Envy looked at her and nodded, Wiping his tears away. "Yeah, she does.." He smiled. She squirmed a bit and I saw the faded Ouroboros on her wrist. She's a Homunculus, I thought, smiling.

It was a while until she opened her eyes, Looking at Envy and I with her big, violet eyes. Michi helped me feed her, Which, If it weren't my newborn daughter, It would feel VERY sexual. I looked down at her, watching her eat happily. She would kick her legs as she ate, as if she were celebrating, and honestly it was the cutest thing ever. For hours until we were ready to go home, Envy and I both just stared at her, taking in the new light of our lives.

I laid Millie down in her crib, looking at her as she peacefully slept. I smiled, heading into my room where Envy was patiently waiting. I laid down in his arms and cuddled against my chest. What is it going to be like now with a baby? I thought to myself, cuddling Envy. I kissed under his chin and he giggled like he always did, He looked at me and kissed me, and I kissed back. He pulled me on top of him as we continued kissing, knowing very well that it shouldn't go any further. We kissed until we were falling asleep, then finally went to bed.

I randomly woke up in the middle of the night, confused on why since I didn't have a nightmare, but then Millie started crying. Both Envy and I jumped up and ran to her room, trying to calm her. We fed her, changed her diaper, and put her back to sleep. Once she was back asleep, we went back to bed, Only to wake up again 3 hours later. This became a routine. Every 3 hours either both of us or one of us would get up to take care of her, And we eventually got  used to it.

The kids took it well, too. I was worried how Wrath would react to the giant change in our lives, since he doesn't  take well to change, but he's been good with it and has been a big help. Pride loosened up a lot since Millie came. He and Middie do all that they can to make things easier for Envy and I, and It's been great.

Coda and Elastor have taken it upon themselves to be Millie's guard dogs. Coda especially. He will follow her around, changing her path if she goes a wrong way.  Knowing Coda, I know he'll keep her out of trouble.

I looked to Envy, who was staring down at Millie. I smiled. I finally have a family again.
