Landon arrived 15 minutes later. I still hadn't told her. I just stood there in the kitchen as she cooked. When the doorbell went off, I flinched.

My mom eyed me weirdly before sending me off to answer it.

"What the hell?! I haven't even spoken two words to her yet," I quietly yelled as I opened the door to reveal the one and only, Landon.

"I know you wouldn't have, so that's why I'm here to do it for you," He smiled.

"No! She'll kill you!" I accidentally said out loud.

"I'll kill who?" My mother asked, walking over to the door as I tried to push Landon further outside.

I obviously failed.

Landon walked in effortlessly and waved a hand to my mother, "Hi there. My name's Landon and I'm Zoey's boyfriend."

I immediately died at how confidently he said that. He seemed almost certain that nothing would go wrong.

My mother blinked a few times before tilting her head and checking Landon out from head to toe. Afterward, a smirk played on her lips, "Nice. He's a ten."

Wait what?

I'm sorry but...

What the literal fuck just happened?

My mother then calmly walked back into the kitchen as Landon stood there smirking at me.

This boy had a charm that even my lesbian mother couldn't resist.

I then heard my mother call out to us, "You two! Come on into the kitchen and tell me about how you guys got together."

Landon carefully grabbed my hand and waited for me to lead the way to the kitchen. I was still confused.

As we walked into the kitchen, I asked, "Wait, mom, aren't you against guys that I like?"

"Aha, no sweetie. Just that Caleb," She said with a calm smile.

I remained confused for the entire dinner as my mother asked questions about Landon and I. I eventually just shrugged it off.

Landon stood outside the door, staring at the stars above.

He smiled as I stood next to him. Turning to look at me, he held my hands and said, "Next is my parents, you know."

"Yeah... Let's wait a bit more," I suggested.

He chuckled and nodded, before placing a quick peck on my lips.

And he managed to kill me again.

Oh, how I hated that he had this effect on me.

He looked down at me and smiled again, "I'll see you tomorrow."
