| Noreen's pov |
I feel my body shaking and my heart is racing at an abnormal rate. I look up at Luke and he squeezes my hand, in moments like these it's hard to be around him but I know the things he does he doesn't mean to.
"I'm sorry..." he says softly and I hear his voice crack.
"It's not your fault," I say.
A tear slides down his face and I wipe it away. He kisses me softly and I caress his face gently.
"But it is," he says.
"No,"
"Just please stop it Noreen,"
He gets up and stops once he makes it to the door.
"What did Ashton say to you?" He asks changing the topic.
"Nothing, just let it be Luke," I answer.
He doesn't say anything back and leaves the room. I get a bad feeling in my stomach; he's going to do something he'll regret. I lie back and get under my covers to fall asleep, but once I close my eyes I see Luke's demon staring at me. I open my eyes quickly as I start to sweat. I breathe in and out as I try to calm down. I remember the first time I saw him and I spent hours staring into darkness. I can't let him scare me, even if he doesn't possess me, I can't let him have control of me also. I close my eyes again and a few hours go by without being scared, but then I see the demon again. I feel myself shaking and I get out of my bed and go to Luke's room. I see him at his desk and he gets up.
"What's wrong?" He asks.
"I was trying to sleep but then had a nightmare," I say.
Luke walks towards me and holds me close. We go to his bed and he lies beside me. He strokes my hair and kisses my cheek.
"We can fight them off together," he whispers in my ear.
I smile slightly and close my eyes again. Luke holds me firmly as he plays with my hair and giving me soft kisses on my cheek and on my neck. Hopefully his parents don't come in.
Soon I fall asleep soundly.

I wake up and Luke is no longer beside me. I look around the dark room, then I turn on the light but I see him nowhere.
"Luke!" I call.
I get no answer and I get out the bed. I go into my room to put on some pants and go downstairs. I see Mrs. And Mr. Hemmings at the dining room table but Luke isn't there.
"Where's Luke?" I ask them.
"He said he was with Calum, you can have a seat," Liz says.
I grunt, I wish Luke was here. His parents hate me randomly for no reason, so having dinner with them isn't on my list of things to do. I sit down anyway and we say our grace. We start eating and there's such a thick tension at the table it makes me feel uncomfortable.
"Why don't you guys approve of me and Luke?" I ask.
Liz coughs then takes a sip of her water.
"Well...what Andrew told me what happened today gave me a reason, and well all we know about you is that your father is abusive and your mother died," she says.
I sigh, "You don't need to know what I'm going through,"
"Maybe we do," Andrew says.
I can see the fear in his eyes, what happened today must still frighten him but if I told him what really happened he would never understand. It still frightens me too, but since today I know what can get rid of that demon. Well an idea, hopefully it works.
