When I wake up I still feel Lucifer's lips against mine, it puts a smile on my face. I walk downstairs and see that Sadie is already dressed and good to go for school, eating pancakes in the kitchen.
"There you are sleepy head!" She is extra happy today
"How are you happy for school?"
"Today is Saturday silly, that's why it's almost ten"
"Oh, yeah I guess it is"
"Ooh, don't you have that date later tonight? Maybe you'll get lucky if you know what I mean" Sadie says with a giggle
"Yes, I know what you mean and no I won't"
"How do you know that?"
"Because Sadie, even I know not to do that on the first date!" I whisper/shout to her while I giggle
"Well, you excited to see him?"
"Yes! He makes me smile like an idiot, he makes me happy. I think I am falling in love with this boy Sadie."
"That's good"
"But what if he sees them, the biggest one I have sticks out and it's along my ribs, what if he doesn't like them"
"Alice! Stop worrying, he will fall in love with them"
Sadie always knew what to say, and that made me happy. She is such a good friend. "Sadie, he never asked me to be his girlfriend yet, maybe tonight"
"Well, you better tell me everything when you get home tomorrow girly"
"Wait, you think I'm gonna spend the night with him?"
"I know you will sister, now let's go get you ready"
It's three in the afternoon before Sadie allows me to shower and relax. She chose a purple spring dress for me to wear, with black sandals, and my hair pulled back into a pony tail.
Its five thirty when Sadie helps me get ready, I shower again, put on the dress, shoes, deodorant, and a necklace. I said no to make up, I look better without it. Plus I take off the necklace she put on me but keep on the gold locket my mom gave me. Its six when Sadie stops bugging me about the clothes and everything, we wait in the living room for Lucifer to arrive.
About five minutes later we hear a knock and the door and Sadie bolted to the door to answer it first. Lucifer steps through the door with a nice T-Shirt on and clean blue jeans with boots. Seeing Lucifer makes my heart flutter in excitement, I smile without even trying.
"Ready to go Alice" He asked, his voice makes me even happier.
"Yes, I am"
We drive to a small café in town, Lucifer tells me that it's his favorite café, that he worked here with his aunt when he was sixteen. He tells me silly stories about his past while working there and how he got the job and finding out that his boss was his aunt whom he never met until then. I loved hearing him talk, so I never spoke back, I just listened.
He had a great dinner, I learned a bunch about him and he learned about why I left. I never spoke about the scars or the beating, just the cellar and how I found a way out.
"Come live with me" Lucifer said with a smile "I think I would love to have my girlfriend live with me."
"Girlfriend?"
As I ask he kisses me, sliding his hand to my neck until I pull back "I think I would love to live with my boyfriend" I say before pressing my lips back against his.
We drive back to Lucifer's place and go inside, we sit on the couch and start to watch a movie, I guess we fall asleep because next thing I know I'm being carried to a bed. Once I'm laid down, I feel someone lay next to me and speak into my ear.
"Want some of my pajamas babe?"
"Sure" I say tired; I pull myself off the bed and change in the bathroom.
I come back and lay down in his arms; he doesn't ask why I didn't change in here in front of him. We fall asleep, both feeling safe, like we are home; both not wanting that moment to end.
When I wake up, Lucifer is in the shower. Thankfully my shirt didn't move up so he didn't see the scars, I'm not ready to tell him about them just yet. Lucifer comes out of the bathroom fully clothed, which kinda sucks.
"Hey, I'm gonna go get changed and then we can hang out before Sadie wants me home" I say with a giggle and smile.
"Sounds good to me, go change then"
Four hours pass before I get a message from Sadie begging to hang out. On the way back to Sadie's place Lucifer started conversation.
"So, second date? What do you want to do?"
"How about stay in movie, popcorn"
"Sounds perfect" He replies while grabbing my hand "Hoe much time do you need to gather your things?"
"No time at all, I have one box of clothes"
"We'll change that babe" He kisses me before I get out of the car and head into the house.
