I unlock the door, and walk in with Lucifer right behind me holding my waist. The only thing I find is a very small box, a wooden box, handmade. The engraving on the box was written by my mother. To my fearless girl, may all your dreams come true! Love, momma; now and forever. I start to tear up when I read the box; I open it and find a key along with a letter from my mom.
"Go head and read it babe" Lucifer says still holding my waist
"When we get home" I say closing the box, putting it in my pocket, and zipping it shut.
We go back downstairs and finish packing my mom's things; we only needed two boxes for everything, even the sheets and her quilt. As Lucifer is putting the last box in the car and I'm locking the door my father drives up to the house; the one thing I didn't want to happen. Lucifer didn't like that my father showed up, he tensed up and his gaze locked against my father getting out of his car.
"Alice, let's go, we need to leave" Lucifer said grabbing my arm, but I pull away
"No, not yet" I walk up to my father and tap his arm to get his attention "Are you happy with yourself? You made your wife kill herself and you lost your only child"
He smiles at the fact that I won't even call him father "Alice, how great to see you"
Instead of replying I smack him across the face twice "That's for hurting mom; and me" Then I turn around and get into the car, Lucifer drives off.
"I'm sorry, I should've listened to you and left" I said looking at my feet
"No, don't be, that asshole deserved it. If it were me I would've punched him"
