Chapter 35

“No way…” Kayla said underneath her amazing smile. She loved amusement parks, so I took her there.

We walked inside the park, hand in hand. Not many people recognized us. So it was perfect, the night was young, but the sky was filled with stars.

“Let’s ride that” She pointed at a large rollercoaster, a little too much for me to handle.

“No” I protested. She scoffed

“Don’t you want to ride the ‘roller coaster that is life’” She air-quoted. She always teases me for that quote. But then, I couldn’t just resist this girl. “Fine”

We fell in line and waited then we finally got out tickets. My heart beat went faster. I couldn’t even believe that Kayla wasn’t having second thoughts about riding this.

“Buckle up” She said. I chuckled

Well, we screamed the whole ride. It was bloody scary. I almost threw up, good thing I didn’t. But damn, that was probably the scariest 3 minutes of my life.

Kayla was just laughing. I put my arm around her and continued having fun. It was about 8:30 and the park was about to close, so we had our last ride on the Ferris wheel. We could see everything from up here, the cold breeze was touching our skin, and the stars were shining so bright. I slipped my hand into hers then she faced me and smiled. After a few minutes, the ride ended. We made our way to the parking and got inside the car. Everything was silent. But then, I kissed her. I couldn’t help it anymore, but I was surprised when she kissed back. Everything was perfect, until paparazzi came and started flashing those cameras.
