I waited in the mission briefing room. Tension filled the air. I did my best to ignore it. I looked down on my Imperial based outfit. It was gray and the First Order symbol lay on my right side. It felt weird to be in enemy based clothes. Khann sat next to me on one side, and Piper, a rebel leader, sat on the other. The big, steel door opened. Commander Slick walked slowly to the center of the room. "Greetings. Today is a simple but important mission. Our newest member of this alliance, Alora, will be leading the attack. Her and Khann will be working together to interfere with the transmissions the First Order sends to each ship. They will also be tempering with the hyperspace feul line." He paused. "When this happens we will attack. Our X-Wing pilots will be on the front lines, defending the bombers." Commander Slick continued to talk but I zoned out.  Everyone began nodding in understanding as the briefing continued. Nervous waves crashed over my body. What if I mess up?  I sighed as I turned my attention back to Commander Slick. "At this the briefing is over. Rebels get to your stations. May the force be with you." I turned to Khann.
"Ready?" I asked trying to sound confinent.
"Absouletely...commander."

My heart pounded as I walked. My whole body shook. I had never been this nervous. I tried to even my breathing. I couldn't let Khann see me like this. We went over everything at least 20 times. Everything seemed to be in order. At least I hoped it was. We had already managed to get on board the Star Destroyer without anyone noticing. Which surprised me. It was easy. Maybe too easy. I turned to Khann. I opened my mouth to ask him if he thought this was suspicious. Nothing came out. I turned back. Maybe I was being to precautious. I shrugged my shoulders and let the thought roll of my back.

The hallways narrowed as we made our way to the back of the Star Destroyer. Two Imperial Commanders passed us. I stared straight ahead and didn't look back. I follwed Khann. He seemed to know where he was going. Despite the tension I chuckled to myself. He always knew where he was going. And I admired him for that. "Khann." I whispered through gritted teeth. He turned. "Do you know where were going?
"Of course I do. We are nearing our first destination." He stated firmly. His voice was laced with a hint of nervousness. I put my hand on his shoulder. His eyes found mine, full of gratitude. I moved my hand off and let it fall to my side. We kept moving at a regular pace. Left, right, left, right. I kept my head down most of the time trying to avoid being seen. A young girl came from around the bend. She had blonde, wavy hair that fell over her shoulders. She stopped in front of me and Khann. My heart skipped a beat. "All Imperial generals must report to the control room. We've detected rebel scum." Then she took off again. We made sure she made it around the bend before we ran towards our destination. ~
