I gasped. My eyes widened. A girl lay curled up in a ball at the end of this hallway, her back facing us. Red strands of hair covered her neck. I quickened my pace as I neared the girl. I knelt beside her checking for a pulse. Nothing. A puddle of blood surrounded her. I could see her face clearly now. My blood froze. Piper.

Khann knelt beside me. He placed his hand on my shoulder. After a few moments of silence Khann whispered, "We have to go find the others. Destroy the fuel tank. We can't...can't let her death be for nothing." I nodded slowly. She didn't deserve to die. She should be standing beside me right now, instead of lying on the ice cold floor.
"We..can't just leave her..." I mumbled. "It wouldn't be right." Khann gave me an understanding look but spoke the truth. "She wouldn't want us to be here. She would want us to avenge her by completing this mission. Do what she wasn't able to. We can't take her body...but we will take her. Piper will always be with us now." I nodded once again. He was right. Khann gently took my hand and led me away from the body. I was too "in shock" to think about what to do next so I let Khann lead me. As we walked I began to feel a bit better. Four storm troppers came running from behind. I turned around and shot two while Khann shot the other two. A new wave of adrenaline pulsed through me. I wouldn't let her death be for nothing. And this I promise.
