His footsteps toward me sounded like cannons and made my whole body shudder with each step. I held my breath, scared to breathe. My body felt so tense, and could snap with a flick. My heart raced inside of my chest, like it was running a marathon. My hands shook violently, hitting up against the restraints. I could feel his dark presence inside me, coursing through my viens. I lifted my head and stared at the masked figure before me. Kylo Ren turned his head to the generals and barked, "Leave." They immediately saluted and marched out of the room. Slience hung in the air, and I was alone...with a monster. I had never been physically affected by Kylo Ren's attacks and actions, but I had heard stories. Stories of what he has done, and what he was capable of doing. And I dreaded whatever was coming next.
...After what felt like an eternity, he finally spoke. "Nice to finally meet your acquaintance. I have been expecting you for quite some time."
"Likewise." I mocked. I tried my best to keep my voice from shaking...I couldn't let him know I felt afraid...more like terrified. At that he removed his mask, allowing me to see who he really was for the first time. A low bang sounded as he laid it on the table beside him. I looked into his eyes and all fear that once lay inside me disappeared. This wasn't a monster. I was looking into the eyes of a boy...who was lost. I could feel the hurt inside of him, and the brokenness that lay within. I recognized this feeling...the feeling of loneliness...for I had experienced it myself. I looked deeper, and I saw the fear that was inside of him, the longing for praise and value. I breathed in quickly, trying to understand it all. Half of me wondered how I could have even gathered all of this information, the other scared of what I could do with it. "Who are you?" I whispered in dismay.
"Child, that is not why we are here...we are here because you acted out against the Imperial Army. And I need to know why."**sorry this chapter is so short!! See ya in the next one!!**
