Chapter 14- Halloween: Preparation

Midoriya's Pov

We're on the end of October and our teachers allowed the students to decorate the campus. Everyday, after classes are over, students from every course get together in front of the main building to make plans and assign tasks. Besides the outdoors' decoration every class can do whatever they want with their dorms and their classroom. Some wanted to make a costume competition or horror houses but that's only class exclusive activities. So far, class 1-A doesn't have anything planned.

Everyone is getting excited about Halloween. It almost feels like an ordinary school's activity. Except for the fact that everybody is using their quirks to make their jobs easier. Being realistic, who wouldn't do that? Oh wait, I don't do that. I'm so used to being a normal person that I don't use my quirk regularly.

"Listen up."

Aizawa-sensei entered the room and a new day of school begins now.

"We'll have a surprise test next week on Wednesday." Iida immediately raised his hand. "Yes?"

"How is it a surprise test if you're telling us about it?"He's right. Not so much of a surprise if you're waiting for it.

"Well, it's surprise because I won't tell you what kind of test it will be nor what will it be about."

The room was filled with depressing and discouraging sounds.

"Oh, and Mr. Bakugo, maybe you should take a look at what your classmates learned while you weren't here."

That's fine for me, I always enjoyed studying.

Bakugo's Pov

Ugh, Halloween! It's just another event to lose time. Only children and nerds like this kind of thing. The only good thing about all this shit is that we'll have a free day on November 1st.

With this new surprise test I might really have to study... How boring! Between that and the Halloween stuff they're making me do I'm so tired of school.

So I spend most of my time on the roof, thinking or just staring at the sky. Sometimes Deku shows up but he knows better than to annoy me so he just sits next to me in silence. That's when I get this strange feeling on my belly and my mind gets occupied by him. I hate this feeling, it makes me lose myself in daydreams. Thoughts I shouldn't have.

We're decorating our dorm right now. I'm cutting some paper pumpkins and Deku is placing them on strings that go all the way over the common area. Every time he stretches himself to reach the string his shirt goes up a bit, revealing part of his abdomen. I can't help but steal glances whenever I can.

I ended up cutting my fingers multiple times so a few pumpkins have red stains...

After what looked like an eternity, some losers from the normal classes (the general department) came to ask for help on the main building. Deku, Ponytail, Todoroki freak and Sparky went there. That's the end of distractions, back to work. But only a few seconds later, I realized that it was also the end of motivation.

Midoriya's Pov

I was enjoying my work with Kaachan... It's actually rare to see him committed on doing something that isn't related with becoming a hero so I was surprised. He tried so hard to help the others that he even cut himself but kept focused on his job. It's always so inspiring being next to him.

Even though I offered myself to help the other students. After all, this is a great chance to meet other people on our school. As soon as I got into the main building I saw Shinso Hitoshi. He was with his other friends but I decided to go there say hi.
