[Static] [Hums] ❝....seems like it is an issue of great complexity with oneself just as I thought...❞ [Mumbles incoherently] [Scribbling on the paper in the background]
[Mumbles] ❝Traumatized by her own kin. Self-inflicted pain and sexual orientation denial due to severe trauma. Repression. Toxic response of defense mechanism. Extreme dissociation persists.❞ [Hums] ❝But there is still missing. I am missing on something...❞
[Pause] [Whispers] ❝What did she wrote the last time again?❞
[Knocks on the door] [Scribbling stops]
[Distant voice] ❝Dr. Quierrero?❞
❝Sì, infermiera?❞
[Hushed voice] ❝Dottore, scusa se ti disturbo, but Dr. Robustelli has something urgent to do and he wants you to cover for him to check Patient 4.❞
❝Oh.❞ [Pause] ❝Va bene. Please, give me a minute.❞
[Rummaging movements in the background] [Sound of the chair being dragged mixed with the sound of closing the folders] [Beeps of the voice recording]

TO CONCEDE to theromantic feelings that she has towards Abstal has really put her on a tight spot with its consequences. Breaking up with Damon is just the first part.
Now, Catalina Juliet decided to resign and strip her name off of her profession after contacting her department head for her decision.
After five consecutive days of being absent without leave, she finally shows up to the hospital wearing a solemn face with a resignation letter on her hand. She doesn't even bother to fake a smile to the nurses who greeted her nor she does let herself get affected by the curious stares of her co-workers who happened to have seen her as she walks.
She chose to ignore everyone.
But the low voices of people talking, the nearby intercom who is calling out for codes and directions, the squeaky wheelchairs that buzzed through her ears are not even enough to simmer down the jitters and trepidation. She feels sick with apprehension. Her head is in a jumbled mess, much more unhinged than the usual.
The truth is, just simply walking to the familiar hallways of the hospital already suffocates her. She feels like the bustling setting is trapping her from the fragments of memories of how everything started. It was in the same setting when it dawned on her five years ago on how dangerous her feelings are towards Abstal as well as how she jumps to the emotions she thought were enough to have a relationship with Damon four years ago.
