Phil stood in the doorway of the English classroom awkwardly as he watched Dan and Chris walk off to science. He saw loads of people go in, chatting and laughing and looking so much like they actually belonged somewhere, and Phil kind of ached in his chest because he couldn't have that. Not with the one person who he wanted it with. Not with Dan.
A flustered man with light stubble, glasses and incredibly sexy hair walked in before noticing Phil and grinning.
"You're Phil, right? I'm Mr Tennant. I'm here to teach you English. Not Scottish," he said, chuckling slightly. His Scottish accent was kind of comforting and Phil found himself walking in behind Mr Tennant.
"A'ight, Phil, there's a free space with Luke and Emma, why don't you go sit there? Luke!"
"Uh, yes sir?"
"This is Phil. He's going to sit with you."
As Phil sat down, he heard the ginger boy whisper to a girl with reddish-brown hair next to him. It sounded like "uh-mayzing!"
Phil smiled awkwardly at them. "Um, hi. I'm Phil," for the first time in his life after introducing himself, he didn't blush or immediately fixate his gaze on the floor. This ginger boy looked so happy and kind, it made Phil feel safe somehow.
"I'm Luke." He said, grinning. He had a very sexy smile. "This is Emma," he added putting his arm around the girl with reddish hair.
I sighed internally because all the hot guys were apparently straight.
Emma pushed his arm off. "Don't try the couple act, Luke. He's cute,"
"How does that make a difference, woman?!"
"Maybe I want him for mine!!"
Luke rolled his eyes grinned at Phil again. "Uh-mayzing," he muttered.
Phil laughed softly.
"I hate to disappoint, Emma, but I'm about as straight as roundabout," he grinned at her. Again Phil was shaken by the fact he had just admitted it do easily, so confidently, to a stranger. It was weird and un-Phil like. But maybe Phil was starting to feel confident at this school, this new start. He actually kind of liked it.
"Why does this always fucking happen?!" Emma said, exasperated. All the same, she smiled at Phil.
"Maybe it's Lukey's time to get some,"
They both laughed, and then Phil joined in, and he really liked these guys. Maybe not as much as Chris or Dan, but he liked them a lot.

Phil walked into the cafeteria with Chris and PJ on one side of him and Luke on the other.
They grabbed some food, Phil opting for pizza and chips (the epitome of healthiness) and then went to get a table.
Scanning the crowded cafeteria, it didn't take long to find the table where Emma, Dan, Louise, Tyler and Troye were already sitting, Tyler laughing and kissing Troye's hair, Louise and Dan holding hands and grinning. Phil's heart hurt.
They walked over, PJ kissing Chris softly on the lips before taking a bite of his chicken.
Dan motioned to Louise.
"Phil, this is my girlfriend, Louise," he said, kissing her cheek and smiling at Phil.
"Hi, Louise," he forced a smile, trying to act kind and happy.
"Hi, Phil," she grinned, revealing pretty white teeth. "Hey, Dan, I didn't know he was this cute," she added, giggling. Dan laughed.
"Yeah, he is," Dan confirmed.
