*Dean's POV*

"Come on Sammy it's only vamps, help me with it." I whined. 'No Dean if its only vampires than you can handle it." Sam replied. I rolled my eyes and left the bunker. As I was driving along the road I heard a voice say "Hello Dean." I nearly drive off the road. Turning to the passenger side I saw Cas there. "Dammit Cas don't sneak up on people like that!" I yelled. He didn't respond so I said "What do you need?"

"I thought you would like company on this hunt since how Sam didn't come." he said. I nod and keeps driving, once we get to the town I pull into the house where the vamp was. It was a rouge vampire since how there weren't very many bodies it fed off of. I grabbed my gun and machete and went inside. As soon as I got inside I heard groaning and things being thrown around.

I ran into the living room part and saw a teenage girl killing the vampire. She was fighting it pretty hard. I ran up behind it and sliced its head off. It falls to the ground and the girl gets up. "Thanks for that it was being difficult with me." She said. "Well you're welcome. I'm Dean by the way. Whats your name?" I asked. Her eyes widened and she asks "Wait Dean as in Dean Winchester?" I nod and she continues "My mother told me so much about you and your brother Sam. I should probably introduce myself I'm Shalynn."

"Who was your mother?" I asked. She replied "Maria." My heart drops, I remember Maria but it was only a one night stand I remember. No it can't be, but she does look like me. "I have been trying to find you because my mother just recently died and she said that you were my father." she says looking down. Before I could reply Cas butts in and says "It is true Dean, Shalynn is your daughter." I turn to Shalynn and say "Do you have anywhere to go?" She shakes here head no.

I was reluctant about letting here stay at the bunker but I said "Come on you can come back with me and live with Sam and I." She smiles at me and nods. We got in the Impala and drove off to the bunker. After explaining everything to Sam he agrees that she can stay.

>1 year later<

*Shalynn's POV*

"Please dad can I go on the hunt please!" I begged my father. It has been a year since I've moved in with Sam and Dean and I haven't been on a hunt yet! "Fine you know what you can come with us." I smile and hug him he hugs back and says "Now go get ready we're going to go get some demons." I grab my duffle bag and throw in salt, holy water, and a gun with rock salt bullets. Sam, Dean, and I head to the Impala and drive off.

We get to the building and grab our weapons. Quietly I head to the second floor and look around. Of course I forgot to check behind me and I heard creaking from behind. I turn around quickly to come face to face with a demon. It pushes me to the ground and my gun, salt, and flask of holy water fly across the room. Oh shoot. I try to get up but it pushes me back down and starts to punch me. I can't fight back because it pinned my arms and legs down so I couldn't move.

My whole body aches and I'm coughing up blood. The demon pulls out a knife and stabs me in the stomach. I scream and its lets go of me, footsteps came up the stairs and I heard some fighting and a groan. Then there were footsteps coming towards me. Someone held me, I looked up and saw Dean holding me. I could barely hear him but I saw him talking to Cas and shaking his head. Cas then disappeared he must've not have been able to help me. I hear Dean say "Shalynn I'm so sorry. I should have been here with you I'm so sorry." With short ragged breaths I say "It's ok dad you were helping Sam I shouldn't have came up here by myself I'm sorry."

By then I'm full blown crying and dad holds me tighter as I slip away I say "I love you dad."
