Dalton's POV
I woke up and looked to the alarm clock. 10:45. I hopped out of bed and ran downstairs.
Daddy was sitting on the couch. "You didn't wake me up?!" I said. "No. Its Saturday." he said. "Oh." I said. I felt a hand cross my mouth. "Sh. You're so loud." Dad said. "Sorry." I said as best as I could. He removed his hand.
"I'm bored." I complained. "Well, why don't we talk about what happened last night, shall we?" Dad suggested. No one said anything. "What DID happen last night?" Daddy said. I could tell they were talking to me. "No clue." I said and walked upstairs.
I went into my room and sat on the bed. I pulled my knees up so they were tucked into my chest. "Dalton, we really do need to talk." Dad said. I looked up but then looked back down.
"Who was that? Because I know it wasn't you. See, our Dalton, he's a nice boy who would never talk like that. He behaves himself all the time. And doesn't talk back to his parents." Dad said. I put my chin on top of my knees when he sat beside me. I didn't know what to say. "I don't know who that was." I said. I pulled the blanket over my head when I felt the first tear sting my eyes. I hate crying in front of people, especially my parents. "Its ok to cry. We all do it." Dad said. I kept the blanket over my head but crawled over where he was sitting I sat next to him and felt him put his arm around me. "Promise me something?" he asked. I pulled the blanket from over my head and nodded. Dad reached his hand over and wiped the stray tears from of off my cheeks. "You'll never be that Dalton again?" he asked. "Promise." I said. He pulled me into a hug.
I felt something dropping on my hair. I pulled away and looked up. "You're not suppose to cry, Dad." I told him. "I know." he said.
Kacey's POV
I woke up to Scott's voice. "How is he?" he said. I heard mumbling on the phone. "I can't believe what happened. He's never flipped out like that before." Scott said. I picked up my pillow and threw it at him. "I have to go. The beast is awake." he said and hung up. He came over to me. "And who was that?" I asked. "Mitch. He wanted to make sure you were ok." he said. "You guys were talking about Dalton weren't you?" I asked. "Yeah." he said.
I got and went downstairs. "Hi mommy." Luke said. "Morning, baby." I said. I continued into the kitchen. I got some water on my face in hopes to wake up. Nope. "Mitch wanted to know if they could come over." Scott said from the kitchen doorway. "Of course they can." I said walking past him. "Good because I said they could anyways." he said.
I walked into the living room. "Luke? Did you have breakfast?" I asked Luke. He nodded his head. "Did dad know you were awake?" He nodded 'yes.' "Scott!" I yelled. "What?" he said. "You didn't get him any breakfast?" I said annoyed. "You're the woman." he said. I looked at him with wide eyes. "Kacey-" he tried saying but I smacked him upside the head. "Say it again and I won't touch you until Luke goes to college." I threatened. "Luke, want some waffles?" I said from the kitchen. "Yeah." he said.
In the middle of cooking, someone knocked on the door. "Got it!" Scott yelled. I heard his heavy footsteps walking towards the door. "Hey guys." he said. "Hey." Daddy said. He walked in the door alone. "Where's Dad and Dalton?" I asked setting Luke's waffles in front off him. "Travis is attempting to talk Dalton to get out of the car." Daddy said. "He locked the doors." Dad said walking through the door. "Really? You have the keys." Daddy said giving him a look. "So? I still can't get him out of the car." Dad said.
"Keys." Scott said. Dad gave him the keys and Scott walked out of the door. I walked over to the window to watch him. Scott unlocked the doors. He opened the door and motioned for him to get out. Dalton got out of the car and stood in front of Scott. Scott kneeled down and placed his hands on Dalton's shoulders.
Scott's POV
"Dalton, listen. I know you're upset about what happened yesterday, but you can't blame your parents. They only want to help you." I said. Dalton looked at the ground. He sighed. "I know." he said. "Then come inside." I said. He nodded his head and went back into the car. I sighed. "Take your time. I'll be right," I said sitting down. "Here." He looked at me. "You should go inside." he said. "So should you." I said. "No, I'll say something I'll regret." he admitted. "It'll be fine. I promise." I said. He nodded and got up.
The two of us walked to the house. "How?" Travis said as we walked in. "Magic." I said and smirked at him.
