Mitch's POV
We stayed at Kacey's longer than I had expected, so here we were, driving home at 10:00pm. When we pulled in the driveway, Travis got out but I didn't and neither did Dalton. "I need to talk to him." I said when Travis stuck his head through my window. He nodded and headed inside.
I got out of the car and opened the back door. I got in and sat next to Dalton. "Hey, are you alright?" I asked. He didn't answer. "Dalton? Please talk to me." I pleaded. "I'm fine." he said barely in a whisper. "Then why didn't you want to come inside at Kacey's?" I asked. He shrugged. "We both know why. I know you know why. You just won't admit it." I said scooting closer to him. "Just leave me alone ok!" he yelled and got out. I watched him storm inside.
I finally got out of the car. "So, how'd it go?" Travis said as I walked inside. "You think you're cute, don't you?" I said. He smiled. He patted the spot next to him. I sat beside him and put my head into his neck.
Dalton's POV
I stormed into my room. Why couldn't they leave me be for once? I got onto my bed and put the pillow over my head. The door opened and closed. "Dalton?" Daddy said. "What?" I said through gritted teeth. "I'm sorry I made you upset. I just...." he finished with a sigh.
I took the pillow from over my head and sat up. "You didn't make me upset. I've been upset." I told him. "Oh. Do you mind telling me why?" he asked. I bit my lip and looked down. "I'll tickle you if you don't tell me." he said inching closer. I looked up at him. He smiled and sat next to me on the bed. "So, what's making you upset?" he asked. I laid back down and put the pillow over my face and mumbled as quietly as I could, "Luke.". "I'm sorry, what?" he asked. I sighed and took the pillow of off of my face.
I stared at the ceiling and repeated myself. "Luke." I said again. "Why? What he said? Dalton, I know its hard to believe, but some people are like that." Daddy said. I rolled onto my stomach so my face was pushing down into my sheets. I felt Daddy lay down next to me. "Dalton, sleep with me and Dad tonight? It'll make you feel better, I promise." he said. I looked at him and smiled. We both sat up and started walking to his room.
"Mitch, come make love to me please!" Dad yelled. Daddy put a finger to his lips and I nodded. He walked into the room and walked over to their bed. He sat down and took his shoes off. Dad reached over his shoulders and started kissing his neck. "Travis, what are you doing?" he asked. Daddy looked over at me and gave me the look. "Dad have you seen-" I made up and excuse to come in. "What are you guys doing?" I said holding back my laugh. "Dalton! Oh my gosh!" Dad said and immediately put the blanket over his head. Me and Daddy started laughing.
"You planned this didn't you?" Dad as I climbed into the bed. "Yep." Daddy said. "And what are you doing little one?" Dad asked as he pulled me up. "Mountain climbing." I said with the most serious look on my face. "You're lucky you're cute." he said. I wiggled out of his arms and laid down between them. Dad smirked at Daddy. "Travis, don't you dare." Daddy said. Dad looked down at me.
Out of nowhere, Dad started tickling me. "Oh god...stop...please...." I managed to get out. He stopped after a while and we all went to sleep.
Travis' POV
I looked down to see Dalton asleep on my bare chest. I looked at Mitch and he obviously wasn't asleep yet. "Mitch?" I whispered. He rolled over and looked at me. "What?" he asked. "What'd you and him talk about?" I asked. "I asked him why he was upset." he said. "What did he say?" Mitch paused for a moment. "Luke." was all he said before rolling over and falling asleep. I soon fell asleep and dreamed of how perfect my life was.
