Tori's POV

Did they really just walk out of the door? The doctor said he would wake up soon! Maybe they did only go back because they felt bad. Maybe Dalton was right.

I sighed and sat back in my chair. Dalton started coughing and I sat up immediately. He groaned and pulled his arm over his eyes. "Wh-where the hell am I?" he said looking around the room. "You're at the hospital. You wouldn't wake up this morning so I called the ambulance." I decided he didn't need to know his parents were here so I left that part out. "Do my parents know?" he asked. "Yeah. They told me to stay with you and keep them updated." I lied. He nodded and layed his head back down.

"You should get the doctor." Dalton mumbled. "I'll be right back." I said and left to go get the doctor. I looked around the hosptial and saw Mitch and Travis arguing outside. I rolled my eyes and went to the front desk. "Hi, uh, the doctor wanted me to tell him when Dalton Wright woke up." I said. The receptionist typed something on her computer and did some clicking. "Can Dr. Hetler report to room 234? Thank you." she said. "The doctor will be there soon." she smiled at me. I smiled back and went back to Dalton's room.

When I got back to the room, Dalton had his phone and was scrolling. "The doctor will be here soon." I said. "Good." he chuckled. I smiled at him. I sat in the chair next to his bed. "My parents were here weren't they?" he asked. I sighed. "Yeah." I said. "Why didn't you tell me?" he said, suprisingly not angry. "They just gave up. They walked right out even though the doctor had just said you would make it. I thought that you didn't deserve that. You deserve a lot more." I said. He smiled up at me. "Thank you for looking out for me." he said. "No problem." I smiled back at him.

"Dalton Wright?" the doctor peeked his head in. "Yeah." I said. The doctor walked in and sat down at his desk. "Well, looks like you've been low on your medication, is it gone?" the doctor asked. "Yeah. I've been busy though." Dalton said. "Well, here's some and here's a prescription. Your medication will be at your local pharmacy in the next few days." the doctor said. He looked over some stuff before standing up. "Looks like you're good to go. You can change into your clothes and check out at the front desk." he said and left. "Here's your clothes." I handed him his clothes that he was wearing earlier. "Thanks." he took the clothes and went to change in the bathroom.

I wondered where Mitch and Travis went. If they went home and Dalton didn't want to stay, I know Seth and Eliza would be ok with him staying for a while. "Ready." Dalton said as he came out of the bathroom. "Lets go." I said and we walked out and down the hallway to the front desk. "Hi, I'd like to check out Dalton Wright." I said. "Ok, sign here to confirm someone was out with him." the receptionist said. I signed the paper and we walked out. Travis nor Mitch's car weren't in the parking lot. "You wanna go home?" I asked Dalton. He nodded. "I need to get some stuff." he said.

Dalton's POV

Me and Tori started walking to my house. Those bastards just walked out on me? That's some shit. I knew Tori's parents would let me stay. I've stayed there plenty of times.

We arrived at my house in about 10 minutes. I saw Travis's car in the driveway. "I'l be out in a little bit ok?" I said. "Yeah." Tori said. I walked inside and saw Travis and Mitch sitting on the couch. "D-Dalton?" Mitch said. I ignored him and continued walking upstairs. I went into my room and closed the door. I grabbed two suitcases out of the closet and started packing some stuff. I had to take some stuff out of my other suitcase, too.

When I walked downstairs, Travis and Mitch were waiting for me at the door. I looked at them and continued out the door. I felt someone grab my arm and I turned around. "Don't ever touch me again." I growled at Mitch. He let go and backed away. I walked down the sidewalk and caught up with Tori. "You ready?" she asked. "Yeah." I said. I took her hand in mine and we walked to her house.

I heard them shouting my name, but I kept going. If I wasn't worth theirtime, they weren't worth mine. I could hear a car start, so I started running and Tori followed.

We reached Tori's house in a little over five minutes. "That was close." I said. "Do they know where I live?" Tori ased. I shrugged. "Maybe." I said. She groaned. I wandered into the kitchen and got something to drink. "When will your parents be home?" I shouted. "Shut up! Your parent's car jus went by! They can hear you!" she whisper-yelled. I chuckled. "They won't be back until next weekend." she said.

I plopped down on the couch when my phone rang. I grabbed it and saw it was Mitch. "Hello?" I said. "Dalton! Where are you? Please, just let us explain!" he said. "And why should I give that privilege to you?" I asked, sassily. "Please..." he whispered. I looked over at Tori. She shrugged. " Fine." I gave him Tori's address and hung up. "You made a mistake." Tori said. "Oh, now you say something."
