Mitch's POV

I stood there in a snappy mood. I wasn't mad Dalton ran out. I was mad because people were yelling shit at my son. He already hates himself. They don't need to make it worst.

"5 minutes people!" one of the stage crew people yelled. I checked my phone, hoping Travis texted me. Nothing.

I walked to my spot on the stage and checked my phone. Still nothing. I sighed and shoved my phone back into my pocket. I took a breath as Avi and Kevin started doing their thing.

We all walked into the tour bus. No one. No Dalton. No Travis. I took out my phone and called Travis.

T: Hello?
M: Where are you?
T: Me and Dalton were having a chat.
M: Can I talk to him?
T: Sure.
*Travis hands Dalton the phone*
D: Hello?
M: How are you?
D: Fine, I guess.
M: Are you staying or going home?
D: Not sure. I'll probably go home though.
M: Oh.
D: Sorry. Want us to head back?
M: Yes, please.
D: Alright.
T: Bye Mitch.
*hangs up*

I sighed. He tried. That's all that matters.

It was about an hour before Travis and Dalton came back. I pulled Dalton into a hug. "Bye." he mumbled. I looked at him. He was so upset. I actually thought he was going to cry. He walked over to some suitcases and carried them outside.

Dalton came back in and said bye to everyone. He would be staying at our house. Alone. With no one to help him.

We agreed to all go with him to the airport. Everyone got in the car and the driver took us to the airport.

When we got there the tension was so strong and seemed to cut through the air.

Everyone sat in silence before a voice sounded through the airport. "The flight to LA is now boarding." a lady said. Dalton gathered his things and started towards the departing terminal. He handed his ticket to the woman and turned around. He waved one more time before disappearing to the plane. I hugged Travis and let it out.

All I wanted is for him to be happy. He was so insecure about himself and it hurt when I thought of what he might do. It hurt even more that I wouldn't be seeing him for maybe months. And that's with Skype.

When we all got to the bus again, I went straight to my phone. I had a text from Dalton.

D: Sorry I had to leave. I couldn't take it anymore.
M: Its fine. Promise me something?
D: Anything.
M: You'll stay with us.
D: I'll try my best. I promise.
M: Thank you.
D: I love you, dad.
M: Love you, too, bud.
D: Night.
M: Night.

I turned off my phone and smiled to myself. Its been a while since he has ever called me 'dad' or said 'I love you.' I was super happy. I fell asleep peacefully that night

Dalton's POV

This was going to be the worst flight ever. No one to talk to. No one. On the bright side I'll have that date with Tori. I smiled to myself. I couldn't wait.

After we had taken off I laid my head back and put my headphones over my head. I turned on 'Habits' by Tove Lo and closed my eyes. I fell into a peaceful sleep, thinking about my family and soon to be girlfriend.

"Sir, you need to wake up." A lady's voice said. I opened my eyes to see a flight attendant shaking me awake. "Sorry." I said and smiled. "No problem." she said and walked away. I placed my headphones around my neck and grabbed my suitcases from the overhead and left the plane.
