Ella's P.O.V.
"Mommy?" I felt my 5 year-old daughter, Skylar, pull my shirt to get my attention.
"Yes, love?" I asked, looking down at my angel.
"How did you meet Daddy?" She tilted her head to the side, curiously.
"Why the sudden question, love?" I asked as I leaned down to carry her in my arms.
"I don't know," She giggled cutely as I smiled.
"Well..." I dragged as I carried her to the living room and sat on the couch with her on my lap.
"Tell me! Tell me!" She said, excitedly.
"Okay, okay! Me and your father already knew each other ever since we were kids. We were the best of friends... But then, when we got older, we started to like each other... like, more than best friends do," I kissed her nose as she giggled. "Then, your dad would bring flowers and chocolates to my house to give to me. He would sometimes serenade me."
"Mommy?" She asked.
"Yes, love?" I asked.
"What does serenade mean?" She asked, making me shake my head in amusement.
"It means showing that you love a girl by singing to her," I explained.
"Ohh," She nodded, understandingly. "So... it means Daddy wrote and sang Kid In Love for you?"
"He did tell me that," I nodded.
"Mommy?" She asked.
"Yes, love?" I smiled.
"Can we go visit Daddy?" She asked, showing those puppy eyes that she always got from her father.
"Are you sure, love?" I tried to keep up a smile for my daughter.
"Yeah, I miss him," She pouted.
"Very well then," I said as I smiled. "Go get dressed, love."
She jumped off my lap, enthusiastically, and ran upstairs to her room as I chuckled.
I decided to get ready too as I went upstairs to my room.
I decided to go simple since we were just going to see Skylar's father..... I wore ripped jeans and a black sleeveless shirt as I tied a red flannel to my waist, just in case it gets cold.
Once I was satisfied with my look, I went downstairs as I waited for Sky.
"I'm ready!" She said as she ran downstairs.
"Hey, no running," I scolded as she smiled sheepishly, mumbling a quick sorry.
We went to the garage and got in my car. I put Sky's seatbelt on as I put mine too.
I drove to the house that I knew so well years ago as I took glances at Sky.
"We're almost there, love," I smiled softly.
"Okay, mommy," She said, grinning.
As we got to our destination, I got off the car and went over to Sky's door and opened it for her. I carried her out as I closed the door and locked the car.
I went over the front porch of the house as I knocked hesitantly.
"Relax, Ella. It's just him," I told myself.
The door opened, revealing hazel brown eyes that belonged to the boy I have loved so much, years ago....
"H-hi," I said, looking down as I avoided his eyes.
