"Y/n, we can solve this out. Don't give up," Shawn held me in his arms as we stood under the big tree where we met years ago.... this was our special place.

"Shawn, how? My parents doesn't want me to be with you....." I said as a tear fell down my cheek but Shawn wiped it away.

"We can solve this out..... Just don't leave me," He sobbed. "I won't go another day without you."

I climbed out of my window as I jumped down on the ground. I looked around to see if anyone was watching me, when I knew the place was clear, I ran to the place.

I went up the hill as I heard the sound of a guitar. I walked around the big tree as I saw Shawn softly strumming his guitar, his head leaned against the tree with his eyes closed.

"You're finally here," He said, not looking at me.

I sat down beside him as I leaned my head on his shoulder. He set his guitar down and puts an arm around me.

"How long do we have to do this?" I asked as I looked at the night sky filled with stars.

"Huh?" He asked.

"I mean, how long do we have to keep this a secret? I want to be able to hold your hand anytime I want.... I want to be able to see you without sneaking out at 3 in the morning.... I want to show everyone we're together.... I want us to be normal..." I said as I looked up at him.

"I want us to be like that too, love... You don't know how much I want us to be like that... But we can't.. for now. I want to show those guys who flirts with you everyday at the streets that you're mine. I want to take you out on dates. I want to have late night drive aways. I want to take you on vacations. I want to see you anytime I want. I want to serenade you and show everyone in the neighborhood that I love you..... I want us to be free so bad, love. But you know why we can't be like that for now..." He said as he looked at me softly.

"We can run away! We can go to a place where no one knows us and we can start a new life there," I pleaded. "I want you, Shawn. Nothing can change that..."

Tears fall down my cheeks as I sobbed.

"Love, I can't let you do that to your family.... They're still your parents. As much as I want to... I can't. I just can't..." Shawn held me as he kissed my forehead many times to calm me.

I laid in my bed as I was reading the new novel that I bought yesterday. I saw flipped a page, I heard a guitar playing outside.

I got up from my bed and went to my balcony as I saw Shawn with his friends, holding his guitar.

"What are you doing?! My Dad's gonna kill you!" I whisper-yelled as I looked at him.

He smiled and mouthed back 'I don't care' as he started playing his guitar.

I went downstairs and outside as I hugged him tightly.

But suddenly, we heard someone clear their throat as we turned to look at my Dad.

"Um, Dad," I said, nervously.

Dad looked at me as he looked at Shawn.

"You're the guy my daughter always talks about? Shawn, was it?" My Dad asked.

"Yes, sir," Shawn said, nodding.

"And you and my daughter are together?" Dad asked.

"Yes, sir," Shawn answered again.

"Do you promise to never hurt her?" Dad asked.

"With all my heart, sir," Shawn said.

"Well, I can't stop my daughter anymore after seeing how much you twi love each other," Dad sighed as he smiled at us both. "Just like me and her mother did when we were kids."

I smiled at Dad as he did too.

"Just don't hurt her, okay?" Dad asked Shawn.

"Never in a million years, sir," Shawn smiled.

"Good," Dad said as he went inside the house again, leaving me and Shawn outside.

I looked up at Shawn as I saw him grinning widely.

"Can I say it?" Shawn asked.

"Say what?" I asked.

"I told you so," He joked as I shook my head, nudging him.
