"Hey, did you hear the news?" I heard Maggie ask. I pushed my glasses up to the bridge of my nose as I held all my books closely to me.

See, we're here at Pine Ridge Secondary School for a job training to be a teacher.

It's crazy how I'm already 20 and I've already graduated from college....

"Huh? What news?" I asked.

"Shawn Mendes is doing a show here in Toronto!" She squealed.

"Shawn who?" I asked as she looked at me.

"You don't know THE SHAWN MENDES?!" She asked.

"No, who is he?" I asked.

"Ummm, let's see... Who is he?" She asked, sarcastically. "ONLY ONE OF THE BIGGEST SINGERS IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY UNDER THE LABEL OF ISLAND RECORDS AND WHO WAS PART OF MAGCON WHICH STANDS FOR MEET AND GREET CONVENTION FOR VINERS! HE WAS ALSO THE ONE WHO WROTE LIFE OF THE PARTY, STITCHES, TREAT YOU BETTER, MERCY, KID IN LOVE, SHOW YOU---"

"I get it," I rolled my eyes. "An artist is doing a show here in Toronto?"

"Not just in Toronto!" She said. "Here in Pine Ridge Secondary School!"

"When?" I asked.

"Well, Principal Dematrice arranged a meeting later for us teachers about it," She shrugged. "But for now, we gotta hurry. We're late."

I looked at my wrist watch as I widened my eyes before hurrying to my next class. I waved Maggie goodbye as she did the same.

Shawn's P.O.V.

"Are you excited for the show?" Aaliyah asked as she laid her head on my lap.

"Yep," I nodded. "I can't believe I'm doing a show at my old school."

"I know, right?" Aaliyah chuckled. "It just looked like yesterday you were teaching me how to play hockey."

"Yeah," I sighed. "Anyways, how's school?"

"Eh, fine," She shrugged. "A new teacher was introduced to us.... Well technically, she's not our teacher yet, cause she's still on job training and stuff like that."

"A new teacher?" I asked.

"Yeah, she's actually the same age as you," Aaliyah said. "She's also 20."

"Oh," I nodded. "What's her name?"

"Ma'am Mary," Aaliyah said. "She's really nice and really, really, really pretty."

"Am I gonna see her at the show tomorrow?" I asked.

"You're gonna see every student and every teacher there tomorrow," Aaliyah said.

"Cool," I said.

The Day Of The Show...

"Hello, everyone!" I smiled as many students and teachers cheered. "So I just wanna say thank you for letting me do a show here in my old school... It's really an honor to be back! I really miss this... I miss the hockey team..."

"I miss my teachers.... I miss my old classmates.... I miss my classes... I miss everything here!" I chuckled. "And now, I'm gonna play Life Of The Party!"
