Shawn's P.O.V.
I walked around a graveyard as I avoided the normal path on the way to my house from school.
You know why? I'm the school's nerd. And I'm always bullied because of it. I'm always bullied even if I'm on the way back to my house.
But then, I found this path. But I have to walk pass a graveyard, though.
As I avoided some tombstones, I heard a voice.
"You shouldn't be exploring in these kind of places, Mr." I turned around to see a girl around my age, leaning her back against a big tree. She had her brown hair down and she was wearing black.
"Oh, uh, I'm not exploring," I said, politely. "I'm just using a shortcut."
"A shortcut, eh? Why, though?" She raised an eyebrow.
"I'm avoiding someone," I muttered.
"Too smart?" She asked as I nodded. "I think it's cute."
I observed her facial features as I noticed that she had blue eyes that shimmer in the moonlight and lips that were pretty pink.
"Um, th-thanks," I stuttered.
"As much as I love talking to you, you definitely need to go home. It's midnight," She pointed at the moon as I looked at it.
"What's wrong if it's mid--" I turned to look at her, but she was already nowhere to be seen.
"Huh, weird," I scratched the back of my head in confusion.

As I was about to go home from school, I took the same path I went to yesterday. I looked around the graveyard as I finally saw her.
"Hey," I greeted as I walked over to her.
She looked shocked when she saw me but immediately changed it from a relaxed one.
"Oh, it's you," She said.
"I didn't get your name," I said.
"It's Y/n," She smiled soflty. "You?"
"Shawn," I replied.
"It matches you perfectly," She said.
"Same to you," I smiled. "So, what you told me yesterday.... What's wrong with midnight?"
"Oh you know, robbers, serial killers, and things like that...." She said, chuckling.
"Ohh," I nodded. "So why are you here?"
"It's where I find peace," She shrugged as she smoked, holding as joint.
"You do know that's bad for your health, right?" I asked, concerned.
"I know," She said. "But it calms me."
I nodded, understandingly.
It went like this for months.... I would always go to this graveyard to see her afterschool. And... if it's possible, I'm actually falling for her. It's just.. She so different and peculiar. She's one of a kind.
As usual, I avoided the tombstones to be polite. I found her at the same spot, smoking. But this time, it was almost midnight 'cause I had detention for correcting the teacher in biology earlier.
"Hey, Y/n," I smiled.
"Oh, Shawn! I thought you wouldn't come 'cause it's almost midnight," She said.
"Yeah, I had detention," I sighed.
"Look, how about you tell me tomorrow what happened. You need to go home now," She warned.
"What, why? It's just midnight. I can handle myself if I ever get robbed," I shrugged.
"It's not just about the possibility of you getting killed or robbed, Shawn," She sighed.
"Then tell me!" I said. "I want to know."
"I.... I'm....I'll just show you instead," She said.
I saw the way her blue eyes turn dark red as fangs appeared inside her mouth. (A/n: Sorry, I didn't know how to describe the fangs stuff :/)
My eyes widened as I looked at her.
"Go ahead, stab me, burn me..... run away.... avoid me," She said as tears brimmed her eyes.
"Are you gonna kill me?" I asked.
"What? No! I'm not that type of vampire... I don't crave blood, but I transform when it's midnight... Besides, I can never hurt you, Shawn," She looked down. "But you don't have to see me like this. So might as well, forget that you ever met me..."
"Y/n?" She looked up at me. "I love you. I know it's been only, what, a few months? I love you, Y/full/n, and I don't care if you're a vampire and I also don't care what others will think about us. You're still a human being and you deserve to feel what love feels like. You deserve to be loved."
She looked at me with tears in her eyes.
"I love you too, Shawn. But we can't be together. I may not be a blood-sucking vampire, but I'm still.... not normal. Vampires and humans are not meant to be," She said, her voice cracking. "As much as I'd like to be with you..... but I can't. Think about what others will think if they knew you had a vampire as a girlfriend? Our hands are tied. We come from different worlds. We're meant to be apart from each other. I like you, Shawn, I really do, but...... we're just not meant to be."
My face formed a frown at what she said.
"I know we want each other. Stop saying our hands are tied, Y/n. Who can stop me if I decide that you're my destiny? I love you and only you, nothing can change that," I said, holding both of her hands. "What if we rewrite the stars? What if you were made to be mine? Nothing could keep us apart, cause you're the one I was meant to find. It's up to you, it's up to me... No one can say what we get to be."
"Shawn," She sighed as she pulled her hands away from me. "No one can rewrite the stars. How can you say you'll be mine? Everything keeps us apart and I'm not the one you were meant to find. It's not up to you, it's not up to me when everyone tells us what we should be. How can we rewrite the stars?"
"We can change the world to be ours," I smiled softly at her. "All I want is to fly with you, all I want is to fall with you. So just give me all of you."
"Is it impossible? Please say that it's possible," She said, looking at me.
"It's not impossible," I assured, caressing her cheek as she leaned on my hand.
We just stood there in comfortable silence as I held her close to my chest.
"Give me a chance, Y/n," I whispered in her ear. "All I need is one chance."
She pulled away to look at me. Her eyes were purple as they shimmered in the moonlight.
"One chance,"
