"I don't want to alarm anyone.  But there may be an issue arising."  Aaron began.  Daryl stood next to him.  His body was calm but his eyes were in a panic.  I stared at him until his eyes locked on me.  I nodded at him.  Whatever was happening, even he was nervous.  "While we were scouting, we came across another group.  We did not interact with them, however, they are close by.  I don't know if they know about us but I know they did not see Daryl and I.  They were dangerous and had a leader.  We couldn't get a close look without fearing for our safety but they are powerful, and big."  Aaron explained.

"Seemed like they were no good.  Like they'd kill people just for fun."  Daryl said blankly.  "We need to keep an eye out.  What's our pantry like?  Aaron and I think it is best if we stayed low on runs for now and kept quiet."  Deanna nodded at this.

"We have plenty of food for months.  We will be okay.  Thank you for coming back quickly.  No scouting and no runs until we believe it is safe.  We will have watch 24/7 on all sides of the community."  Deanna said.  Everyone nodded, no one disagreed.  Whoever this group was were not to be reckoned with.  After everyone began dismembering, Daryl approached me.

"You didn't tell us everything."  I told him sternly.  "What did you leave out?  I won't tell anyone."  I promised.

"The group.  It's like they are living in a warehouse.  Heard them call themselves 'The Saviors.'  Other survivors are imprisoned, followers of this guy, the leader, all men.  And the woman, they all just look terrified of all the men there.  The leader is crazy.  Carries around a bat with spikes and barbed wire around.  Looked like he had a wife, I assume.  She never left his side.  We can't be too sure of him."  Daryl explained.

"Everything will be okay.  We just need to lay low and maybe nothing is bad as you and Aaron saw."  I knew that was a lie but at the time it seemed comforting.  "Come on, your steps or mine?"  I laughed.  I followed him to his house and sat down on the steps.  Daryl didn't even bother delivering his crossbow back to the armory yet.  I'm sure Deanna won't mind.  She has come to trust the whole group.  "Daryl, what happens if they find us?"  I asked curiously.

"We fight our asses off.  Our group has done it before."  He said.

"Alexandria hasn't."  I started.  "Daryl, this place is a safe-zone.  Aside from Deanna's sons, me, and barely a few more, no one can fight or protect themselves.  If this man comes to us, he could take over easily.  It'd be your group fighting for everyone else, who you just met.  I couldn't ask you to do that.  Put your life on the line again for people you hardly know."  I told him.

"You accepted us, took us in.  It's the least we can do for you all.  We teach everyone to fight.  In case.  Hopefully, we'll never need to go to battle."

"I'm heading in for the night.  I'll see you in the morning."  I told him.  Before getting up, I did something out of my comfort zone.  I leaned over and lightly kissed him on the cheek.  I got up and gave him a small wave.  He smirked at me and I continued going.

What did I just do?
