I have no idea when or how I fell asleep last night, but I woke up extremely later than expected.  It was almost already past lunch time.  I rolled over to the small clock sitting next to my bed and groaned.  There was a note placed on the small table, I picked it up and read it over.

Rowan

Whenever you wake up, Daryl is in the courtyard with Dawson and your things.  Take your time and meet us when you are ready.

Dad

I stood up and threw on a pair of clean clothes I found in the dresser and put my hair up in a high ponytail.  I walked out my door to find Dwight standing beside it.  I looked at him confused.

"Negan wanted someone at your door at all times, in case you need anything."  He said, stiffly.

"What are you his lap dog?"  I didn't wait for him to answer.  "Where's the courtyard?"  I asked, realizing I had no idea where to go.

"Go out the hall, make a left, you'll see a sitting room and then a large door.  Just push open those doors and your there."  He answered.  I nodded in thanks and walked out.  I saw Daryl standing with Dawson, teaching him how to shoot a crossbow.  I smiled at the gesture.  My dad was off to the side, watching the interaction.  I went over to Daryl, placing my hand slightly on his shoulder, careful not to startle him.

"Hey, how are you?"  I asked Daryl.

"I should be asking you that."  He answered, engulfing me in a good and lifting me off the ground slightly.  "I missed you."  He said into my shoulder.  "Rick told me tell you guys that the deal is still on, what happened last night won't change anything."  Daryl told me, my dad walking up to us.

"Good to hear, glad we don't have any disagreements."  My dad interrupted.  "Hope there's no hard feelings about last night."  My dad said.  I could tell he was being sarcastic. Daryl just shook his head, unsure of his feelings towards my dad.

"Come on, we need to talk."  I told Daryl, grabbing his hand and pulling him to my room.  I took my bag from him and lead him to my room.  Dwight was still standing there, with another man, they look they were about to change shifts or something.  "I need to be alone with Daryl.  That means, get away from my door."  I told Dwight.

"No can do, Negan's orders."  He laughed.

"My orders."  I said sternly.  "Leave."  Dwight rolled his eyes and walked down the hallway, presumably towards the courtyard.

"You just have everyone wrapped around your little finger, don't you?"  Daryl asked.

"Maybe.  What can I say?"  I retorted.  I wrapped my hands around his neck and connected our lips.  "I missed you.  I can't remember the last time we spent a night a part."  I admitted. Daryl moved his hands to my waist lifting my shirt up slightly.

"Last night was hard without you.  Lot of talk of what we were going to do with you."  He answered.

"I'm sorry for last night.  I know you don't believe me.  I plan on going back to talk to Rick."  I said, pulling away.

"You know it's going to take a lot of convincing to let him open the gates for you.  But I'll talk to him."  He told me.

"Stay here with me.  We know my talk with Rick and the other's isn't going to go anywhere.  They'll want me completely exiled.  Stay with me."  I pleaded.  Daryl looked hopeful but I knew he wasn't going to give in that easily.  My dad ran things completely different than Rick.  Daryl was afraid he'd have to do things he couldn't forgive himself for, I already knew that, he didn't have to admit it.  But it didn't hurt to try and ask.  "Please."  I looked deep into his eyes.

"I'll do whatever you want me to do."  I smiled slightly.  "I love you, you know that."  He continued.  He lifted me up and my legs wrapped around my waist.  He carried me over to my bed and put me down.  "You know I'd do anything for you."  He said, lifting my shirt further up my body before unbuttoning my jeans.
