Dawson took over for the Saviors as Negan decided he wanted to step down. Lives have been lost in the span of three years, some from natural causes, others not so naturally.
The communities still deal with threats from the outside walls but it has never been nothing that couldn't be handled.
Daryl and Rowan remain together and their relationship is still strong. She resides fully with Daryl in Alexandria, going back to the Sanctuary at least three times a week to visit her family, she especially loved visiting her newborn niece.
Dawson had begun dating one of the residents at the Sanctuary. It was risky, but him and his girlfriend decided to start a family. They were welcomed with a beautiful baby girl that they named Lucy.
Rowan had thought about children and her and Daryl had the talk about it. They decided it was too much in this world, but always loved visiting Lucy.
Life wasn't perfect, but it wasn't miserable. It was just right.
