17 again

→Ashton

The pizza Luke brought home from the store tasted disgusting. Ashton didn't even eat two bites before calling for takeaway.

"Damn you, Luke. Damn you for buying dusgusting pizza and forcing us to eat Chinese food!" Ashton teased, throwing the remainder of the pizza in the trash bin.

"It wasn't that bad, we probably could've finished it without dying." Luke just shrugged as Elaina watched with a bright smile. Every time the smile appeared, Ashton thought about how beautiful she was, with honey-coloured hair and hazel eyes. Her smile always looked slightly strained, like she wasn't quite used to the gesture, but when it showed Ashton drank in every detail.

They waited for takeaway by watching an old rerun of friends that Luke had apparently seen a million times. Before each character would speak, Luke would tell them what was coming next. This annoyed Ashton, but he let his mate talk him through it anyway.

Ashton grabbed Elaina's hand and pulled her to the door with him when the doorbell rang.

"Why did you bring me?" Elaina said, laughing a little after. "I don't know," Ashton answered honestly. He knew it was just a lame excuse to hold her hand. Neither of them and disconnected their intwertwined finger though, only tightened the grip.

The man handing him the food was greasy and probably untrustworthy, but you couldn't get better Chinese anywhere in Sydney. Ashton couldn't help but notice how Elaina didn't even offer to pay, probably because she didn't have the money to pay.

Chinese seemed greasier ever time Ashton ate it. He didn't really care, though, because Elaina and Luke looked completely satisfied with their takeaway containers and wooden chopsticks.

"Ok, so what shall we do the rest of the night?" Luke tosses his empty container into the metal bin and looks back and at Ashton on the couch and Elaina in the chair.

"I don't know, I just figured we could play it safe with some good movies?" Ashton replied sheepishly, knowing Luke would think that his idea was stupid.

"Ugh, you're such a girl Ashton. Fine, but I get to pick the first two movies." Luke compromised. Ashton complied and looked to Elaina for confirmation. She agreed with a feverish nod of her head and Luke picked two movies.

"Hm, Anchorman, of course..." Luke threw the movie case to Ashton and he caught it in the nick of time, before it plummeted to the wooden floor below them. Elaina watched with amusement.

Luke browsed for approximately two more minutes before sighing. "This is the only other good one I can find." he grumbled, also tossing this case to a waiting Ashton.

Ashton enjoyed Anchorman (as always) and all three of them were in tears from laughter by the end of the movie.

"Best movie ever." Luke commented at the end, standing up. "I have to work tomorrow, I think I'll head to bed. Night Ash, don't do anything I wouldn't do." with a smirk, he was gone into the other room, leaving Elaina and Ashton by themselves.

17 Again, one of Luke's favourite movies (even though he didn't like to admit it), had been played many times. Ashton could almost quote you the whole movie.

"Have you seen this one before?" Ashton asks Elaina. She looks over at him, the dim light from the TV making her look like an angel. "Once. I mostly remember what happens." she giggle a little, then turns her attention back to the beginning of the movie.

Elaina paid great attention to the film, laughing like crazy at the part where "Mark" checks out Al's mom, because it's his wife, she just doesn't know it.

Mark and Scarlett begin dancing in the living room and Elaina shields her eyes.

"What are you doing?" Ashton is completely confused, there's worse parts in this movie. "Al catches them and it gets all awkward!" she cries. Sometime during this movie she had moved from the chair to couch. She removed her hands from her eyes and buried her face in Ashton's shoulder.

The rest of the movie nobody really talking, excluding the few comments from Ashton and the sniffling when Mark read the letter from Mike to Scarlett in court. When the movie finished, Elaina was sound asleep on Ashton's shoulder. He moved her head to his chest - a more comfortable position - and they fell asleep with Ashton's arm around her waist and Elaina in his embrace.

ok sorry this chapter has very little signifigance, just elaina falling asleep with ashton. the next few chapters will help you learn a little about elaina, not a ton, but she has some issues with relationships so ya
