Books vs People

So sometimes my friends tell me that I read to much and I say that that's impossible. But sometimes this leads to them asking me what would I choose, friends or books, and I answer books and then they get really mad at me. They say why would you choose books over friends and when I try to explain they just don't understand. I really don't understand either but it still hurts. I guess things like this are why I like books better. They can't leave you or hurt you or tell people your secrets. You can disagree with a character and they can't insult you or hurt you. This is why I like animals a lot too. Friends can do all of this and more. They can insult what you like (such as bands or shows) when all you do is let them rant to you or watch shows that they like but you don't with them. This happens with my two best friends more than my other friends and it hurts.

I am going to spend two days with them starting tomorrow and will probably have the time of my life but I will be sure not to mention One Direction or Pokemon because one will fan girl with me and the other will look at us like we're crazy. As for Pokemon, I don't know how one will react and the other already thinks I'm weird because of it.

Sorry got a little of topic. Sort of turned into a rant about nonsupportive friends instead of how I like books better than people. But whatever, I love them anyways. (I currently have reindeer are better than people going through my head😋) 😢😞😪😭😥😟👋
