Working through Depression

Depression is not something that just goes away. It can feel like it's getting better, then slam back into you. Once you are steady, a little bit better than you ever have been, you'll still have bad days. Days when the worst thoughts come back, when you feel more alone then ever. Then you work through them and get back to where you were before because that's one of the best feelings, realizing that you're happy right now. You get better, you'll get worse, you'll realize that it's all worth it. But you can't just flick a switch with a few reassuring words or a couple good friends. It takes a lot and it's not always gone for good. That's why even though I'd say I'm better, I still am not better all the time.
