"I can do whatever I want. You're still under me in the hierarchy of the gang. You need to follow my instructions." Lucas voice was cold.

Areum's and my face fell. We didn't expect that Lucas would still remember the rule of the gang. The older ones can give the younger rules and tasks. They can't disobey them; it's an unwritten law in the gang. Even though Lucas was just a few months older than me.

"You can't obey me. I'm not official in the business. Just fuck off Lucas, we don't need you here!" I pressed out.

Lucas laughed.

"I know that you're not in the business, but I'm still older than you. You're my little cousin, so you must listen to my instructions." Lucas grinned.

He had a bad aura around him. For the first time I was frightened what Lucas would do.

"Boys, chill a bit. Nobody is in a position to say something. We still don't have a leader." Areum tried to calm us down.

"I'm sure my mother won't let her position down." Lucas smirked.

I didn't know what I should think. Does Lucas know anything? We spared a last glance at each other and left the room.

Nobody talked and everybody was absorbed in thoughts, until we heard a voice.

"All of you will stay in the house this weekend. We will have a family meeting." A stern voice said.

We all turned around and saw our grandparents standing in the hallway. We three looked at each other and nodded.

That would be a long weekend.

A day after our argue we came together in the big room of the house. Everybody was here besides Lucas' mother. My grandparents sat at the back of the room. They are the current leaders and probably the most intimidating persons in my life.

I saw my parents sitting on the right side next to them. The left side was empty since my aunt and her husband weren't here.

Areum, Lucas and I sat in the middle, since we were in the direct bloodline after our grandparents. I the saw a few other relatives, but I never really interacted with them.

I never was a family person and the business never interested me. I always wanted that Areum would get the next leadership after our mother. Both were smart and wise. They don't rush themselves and always think of a plan.

In contrast to Lucas' mother. She was always a doer and didn't think of a good plan. I don't really know her since I never showed up that much, like Lucas.

For the first time we were together at a family meeting. I was nervous. I didn't know why we were here.

"All of you are probably asking themselves why they are here, but we have an important announcement." My grandfather stood up.

All eyes were on him and he gently smiled.

"After our long leadership we decided that one of our daughters should take the lead." A little silence.

Everyone's breath stopped for a second and you could hear a pin falling down.

"After long discussions and thoughts, my women and I decided that Jaehee should be the next leader." Grandfather said.

For another second everything was silent. Then the clapping began. My mother stood up and smiled. She was happy that she got the position.

I looked at Lucas and his smile dropped a bit. I smirked and was glad that he can't give us orders now. Even though he was older than us, he wasn't in the direct line of the leader.
