It was a normal day at work as usually but it finally ended, I waved goodbye to my co-worker before making my way to my car. I closed the door of my car and put my bag on the passenger sit before turning on my car and start driving home but before that I went to the store to buy some groceries. Paying for the groceries, I went back to my car and drove to my home. While driving on the way, my phone starts ringing from the bag, I reached for it and grabbed it, I was about to pick up, my phone slipped out of my hands and went between the seat

"Oh shit, it's not the time for this" I mumbled before putting my hand to try and pull the phone out

It happened that when I wasn't looking at the road a person was crossing the street, they also didn't notice my car. When I got my phone, I looked up to the road and saw a guy crossing the road, I put my feet on the breaks to stop the car but it was too late. I hit him and he rolled on the front of the car and his head hit the front window soon he feel down. I cursed myself before getting out of the car to see if the guy is harmed, I saw him laying on the road growling and his hand was on his head I assume it's where he hit his head, I crouched down and put my hand on his shoulder

"Sir? Are you okay? I'm really sorry" I asked with a slight fear in my voice

"My..... head" he said still growling from the pain

"I'm really sorry, I'll take you to the hospital" I grabbed his arm and put it around my neck supporting him so I can take him to the car.

I opened the passenger seat and put away my bag before sitting the guy on the seat, quickly I went to the driver seat and start driving to the nearest hospital. When I got there, I turned to the guy to see his face and his eyes were closed I assumed he passed away, I hurried and got him out of the car and walked him to the hospital. The doctor came right away, I told him about what happened so he took him to a room to check what did the car do to him. I just stayed out waiting patiently for the doctor to come out of the room after he finishes, I start shaking, scared that the guy I hit will die or something and I'll be blamed for it but you just hoped for the best.

1 hour later of waiting, the doctor walked out and I ran to ask him

"Is he okay?" I asked feeling scared

"Are you one of his relatives, friends or something?" he asked me

"No but please tell is he okay? he's alive right" I said

"The hit broke some bones in his right arm he can't move it, his leg got injured and he hit his head a little bit hard, he's now unconscious but he'll wake up soon hopefully It will be great if you stay with him until he wakes up" the doctor said before leaving

I walked in the room and you saw that guy laying on the bed sleeping, his arm was wrapped in a white cloth. I sat on the chair beside him and I start starring at his face, his hair was put up showing his forehead brighter than your future. Soon he starts opening his eyes very slowly probably to adjust the lights, he lifted up his head but laid him down again because of the pain, he looked around to see where is he, his eyes landed on me and he gave me a confused look

"Who are you? And why am i in the hospital?" he said and lifted up his head again but growled from the pain again

"Careful! I'm y/n, you got hit a car so i took you here.... You don't remember what happened?" I asked him curiously

"No I just remember that I was crossing the street and i got hit by the car and then it all went black" he said still trying to remember other things before finishes "Why are you exactly here?"

"I'm the one that hit you, I'm really sorry I wasn't looking up when you're walking and I tried to stop it but I was too late and that happened so I took you here. I'm really sorry" I apologised multiple times
